Goodbye Brownstone

Chapter Two

Jasmine woke up in her new bed in her new home. She still couldn't believe she was a home owner at the age of eighteen. She still hadn't told her grandmother about it , she was just so excited the day before no one knew. She has finally picked a school she wanted to go to. It was like life was just finally working out for her. She had decided to go to Cornell. She wanted to have a dinner to announce it to all her loved ones. She looked over at a sleeping Lamont and smiled. She couldn't understand how she was so lucky to get one of the good ones. Lamont started to move around in his sleep. Jas started to put kisses on his cheek she wanted him to wake up.

Come on babe I'm tired." A sleepy Lamont said still half asleep and eyes closed.

She just got up and did her hygiene routine and got dressed. She didn't put on nothing flashy just a flower print Adidas track suit with her Gucci slides. She went down to the kitchen and started to make breakfast. She knew if she couldn't wake your sleeping honey the smell of food would do the trick.

Jas was almost done with the eggs when Lamont made it to the kitchen. He smelt the good food and his stomach woke him. As bad as he tried to fight it he couldn't . Lamont walked into the kitchen to see a huge feast. You would've thought she was cooking for a football team. There was pancakes, waffles , sausage, bacon, grits,toast, biscuits, omelets,scrambled eggs, orange juice, cranberry juice. Lamont was so happy he had him a keeper. Someone that knew how to treat him. Only wanted him for him not for what he could do for her.

"Good morning my love."

"Good morning beautiful."

They shared a short but meaningful kiss Lamont lightly squeeze Jas behind.

"Why'd you make so much food is someone coming over?"

"Ha ha no I didn't know what you might be hungry for. So I made a little of everything."

"Ha ha I see that."

"Oh hush you act as if your not gonna make a huge plate greedy."

"You right, babe did I ever tell you how much I appreciate you." He said walking up behind Jasmine holding her around her waist.

"Aww babe I appreciate you as well more than you know."

They shared another kiss , Jasmines told him to sit while she made his and her plate. They sat and said grace then dig in. This would be Lamont's first time eating Jas cooking. She was so worried he wouldn't like it. She knew she could cook but it still didn't stop the feeling. She sat and watched as he took his first bite of food.

"Damn girl I had a feeling you could cook. But this right here man this shit right here. Waaaayyy better then I expected I got me a keeper."

"Ha ha oh hush up your so extra I swear."

"I've finally picked a school , but I want to wait to tell everyone together. I wanna have a dinner party and invite everyone. You know my family your family , also we can show everyone our home at the same time."

"Okay that's cool would you like me to do anything for the party?"

"Yes, can you get your family here for the dinner party?"

"I'll call them today and tell them all what time?"

"How about 7:30, I'll do all the cooking but babe can you get the dessert? And tell them to dress formal please."
