Bella's POV
The sun shined bright through the window into my eyes. I stretched my arms out at my sides, touching Harry's soft skin. I looked up to see him smiling down at me.
"Morning," he rasped, sending shivers down my spine.
"Good morning," i cooed back to him, crawling up to kiss his cheek. I looked over to the clock and panic set in.
"Harry!" i called, his head snapped my way.
"hmm," he hummed in no way worried.
"The funeral starts in an hour and a half," I squeaked, shimmying out of the bed. His hand caught my arm, pulling me back towards him.
"Can't we just stay here," his sadness was shone through his cracked voice.
"Harry," i sighed, sitting down beside him.
"You need to go," i explained to him.
"I screw everything up, why would i want to screw this up too," he blankly whispered.
"You don't screw everything up. Your mom would want you to be there, Harry," i pushed, grabbing him by the hand.
"She's gone Bella, how does anyone know what she would want," he grumbled.
"Because, Harry, I didn't know your mother for that long but I know that she loved you more than anything," I assured him, kissing his cheek. He sighed, crawling out from the duvet.
I followed close behind as he went to the kitchen, pulling out a coffee cup. I snaked my arms around his waist, placing my head on his shoulder.
I gave his neck a quick kiss, receiving a acceptance hum from him. I turned to head back to his room to get dressed for today's obstacle, the funeral.
Harry's POV
I stared at myself in the bathroom mirror, tugging at the bow tie i was struggling to tie myself. I let out a frustrated huff as Bella walked into the bathroom.
Shit did she look good. I bit down on my bottom lip as my eyes trailed down her body.
"Harry," she chuckled, catching my attention.
"yeah," i responded, snapping my head up to meet her brown eyes.
"You're staring," she smirked, reaching up to fix my bow tie.
...
"Are you sure you're ready?" Bella's voice rang through the car after a few minutes of silence. I nodded, unbuckling my seatbelt. She scooped up my hand, giving it a small peck before unbuckling herself.
I ran around the car, pulling the door open. I assisted her to her own two feet, not letting go of her firm hold.
I guided her up to the large marble steps of the church i attended as a small child. I can remember looking up to the giant bell and dreaming of climbing the building, just so i could ring it myself. I used to hold tight to my mum's small hand with my even smaller one as she conversed with the fellow church ladies.
I looked down at my own hand, holding Bella's tightly, I wiped a tear that formed in my eye. Bella looked over to me, flashing me a sympathetic smile. I guided her hand up to my mouth, kissing it tenderly as we entered the big, white church.
Bella's POV
The stained, glass windows stared back at me as i entered the church. It was filled with people, most that looked a lot like Harry. I felt my heart jump at the sight, Anne had so many people who loved her as much as Harry and I. Harry had never mentioned the friendly faces i passed as we made our way to sit on a pew next to Harry's Aunt Dee.
"Hi love," Harry's Aunt smiled, softly. I smiled back to her as we took our seats. The service would be starting soon and my grip tightened on Harry's warm hand.
I large man traveled up the stairs to the pulpit, stood in front of the microphone, and cleared his throat. I rubbed my thumb against Harry's hand as the preacher began to talk about Anne and her life.
My mind went before soon enough Harry was tugging me to my feet and we were bowing our heads.
I peeked over at Harry to see he had already been looking at me. I sent him a smile, closing my eyes once more.
After the prayer we were allowed to pay our respects, this would be the hardest part for Harry and for my self to see him go through it.
I took his hand in mine as we walked up the aisle to meet the casket. I took in a sharp, deep breathe before looking in. Anne's lifeless body lied peacefully in the soft bed like structure. My heart collapsed as I heard Harry's sob. I carefully looked over at him, he had his hand on her as tears ran down his cheeks.
I wiped them with a tissue i had stole from the stairs. I rubbed my hand down his back and began to cry with him.
"I'm going to give you a moment alone," i sniffed walking a few feet away. I heard Harry begin to speak to his lifeless mother.
"m-mum, love you so much mum. Thank you for showing me what real love looks like and how to find it. Even when dad wasn't there for us you showed me compassion and love. I really think i'm falling in love with Bella, she just doesn't understand how much i do. I-I just wish you were still here to see it," his voice cracked on the last words. I couldn't stand it anymore. I walked slowly down the aisle, back to my seat.
I twiddled with my thumbs as i waited for Harry, but as i looked back up, he was gone. I looked all around the room, he was no where to be found. I immediately stood and sped down the aisle to the double doors that awaited me. In the lobby there was no one but a little old lady and her daughter. I sighed, scrambling out to the parking lot. Only to discover Harry's car was gone.
(Heyyy guys i love you all!!! #harrydeservesbetter xx)
