Black and white. It's always black and white, god. Those voices. Not again. I'm sick of those voices. I can't understand them. It's like a language that I don't understand, yet it sounds like it's English.
I turn the corner of the unknown house that I have spent months worth of dreams in. I again run into the same scene that has been playing repeatedly since the summer after my fourth year.
The same two people are standing in a large kitchen, but I can't tell who it is. It's blurry, like really blurry. It's like an old video playing over and over, never ending. Same figures, voices, spooky and large house. It never changes. I really wish that I could just figure it out.
Every time they just stand there, using hand gestures and slowly raising their voices with each minute. Every time they look behind me and stop. And every time a little girl, just as blurred as the rest of it, comes and looks at them. That's where it ends. Every single time.
I wake up to someone rolling over and lightly placing their hand on me. I slowly raise my hands and rub my eyes, then turn my head to see Draco sleeping peacefully beside me. I sighed and laughed quietly then pulled myself out of his grip and swing my legs over the edge. I glanced up at the grandfather clock on the other side of the room to see that it was about the time that I usually got up. I stretched and walked to my clothes on the other side of his bed.
I picked them up and leaned down, kissed Draco lightly on the forehead and left. I knew exactly what most people would think. I don't really care though. I mean, it's not like I slept with him or anything? Even if that's what everyone is going to assume. I'm just surprised that he was that nice to me.
I guess my dad isn't always wrong. I mean, this is exactly what he was aiming for, right? I didn't think Draco would go for it, but then again, he doesn't know why our fathers put us together like I do. I also thought it would take longer for Draco to talk to me. I guess whatever his dad said to him over the summer must have worked.
I quickly undid Millicent's ridiculous lock on the door and slipped quietly inside. I put my clothes on the bed, too tired to worry about that now, then picked new clothes up and made my way to the bathroom to change and such. I stood, looking into the mirror while putting my hair up into a pony tail when Pansy came running in.
"Pansy are you okay??" I dropped my hair as she knelt beside the toilet and started puking. I rushed to her and held back her hair. She stopped and sat on the floor, looking tired and disgusted. "Pansy?"
"I'm fine. Just ate something bad last night," her tone of made me smile sadly, but nicely, and let her hair down. I held out my hand for her nevertheless and helped her stand. I finished putting my hair up while she brushed her teeth. I combed my side bangs down to cover some of my face and put a white bandana over the split between my bangs and the rest of my hair, then put all of my stuff away.
I was walking out of the bathroom when Pansy called my name. I turned towards her and she gave a pained smile, "thanks.. for that...." I could tell that she didn't want to say that to me so I just smiled at her and continued towards my bed. I put on my necklaces and loosely tout my tie on my neck while looking at the other three beds. Pansy's was obviously empty, Millicent was snoring in hers, and Rachel was laying in hers with her sheets pushed to the floor.
Pansy came and layed back in her bed and I walked to Rachel's. She was watching me curiously as I picked up the blanket and put it back on Rachel. She was still watching me when I picked up my bag and left the dorm.
My dad was sitting in his chair, writing something when I entered. "Hey Daddy!!" I smiled and circled his desk, kissing him on the cheek and putting my bag down next to his desk.
