"So what are we up to today? Killing more bandits? Exploding more loaders?" Axton strutted around the corner on HQ's second floor, a childish grin adorned on his face.
"Roland's planning our next move, so there's nothing on the agenda for now," Maya, the only person in the front room, responded from the couch. "Salvador just left to go on a quest with Gaige and Krieg."
"They left without me?! The nerve of some people." He leaned against the door frame (despite the apparent lack of a door there to begin with). "Wait, where's (Y/n) and Zer0?"
"I am right here." Axton jumped and spun around to see the aforementioned person right before him.
"Jeez, give a man a little warning, would ya?" Zer0 walked over to the couch but did not sit. "Well, there's Zer0. Where's (Y/n)?"
"She left for The Dust as soon as she heard we weren't doing anything today."
"Is she still on the hunt for a strong corrosive weapon? She's pretty determined, I'll give her that. Maybe I'll go there too and say hi to Ellie."

"I swear, Ellie, I'm cursed. Thanks for the water, by the way."
Ellie popped out from underneath a broken-down vehicle with various tools in hand. "Darlin', don't say that! There's gotta be the perfect gun just waiting for ya somewhere out there. Just be patient, and you'll find it!"
"I sure hope so...it's just so annoying! I have this really nice shock SMG, and an explosive shotgun, a slag pistol, and an incendiary sniper rifle, but I can't find a good corrosive weapon worth a damn! I found a corrosive pistol earlier that couldn't keep the ammo in it! What the hell!"
"Did ya see if Marcus is sellin' anything to yer fancy?"
"...you're joking, right?" She paused. "Hey Ellie, do you hear that?"
"It sounds like a car approachin'. Are you expectin' anyone?"
"No...let me go have a look." (Y/n) stood up and equipped her assault rifle. She walked outside Ellie's workshop and watched the black and grey Outrunner coming down towards her.
"It is me, Zer0./There is no need to panic./I brought you something," Zer0's voice sounded through her ECHO.
"Oh, hey!" she responded. "It's just Zer0!!" she shouted back at Ellie and approached the car once he parked it. "What's up?"
"I have acquired/Something you said you wanted./I hope you like it." Zer0 equipped a gun and held it out to her. She took the weapon from his hands and gasped at the sight of the green stripes decorating the barrel and handle.
"This is...this is a corrosive pistol!! Oh my gosh!" She turned and fired it at the ground. The bullet ate through the rough terrain with a green splosh of acid. "I love it, I love it, I love it!! Thank you so much, Zer0!" (Y/n) put on the safety and gave him a big hug. Even though she was smaller than him (as were most people he knew) she held his thin figure tightly. He awkwardly placed his arms around her in a pseudo-hug, making her laugh. "ELLIE!! LOOK WHAT I GOT!!"
"Dayum, girl! Nice catch!"
"I didn't find it! Zer0 got it for me!"
"Well, isn't he a sweetheart!"
"I know!"
He remained outside the shop, so neither of the women got to see the red :) emitted from his mask.
