"Da'jiah. Mamas baby." I kissed her cheek and grinned.
"Darren, could you get the baby bag, please?" I asked Darren who was busy making Jiah another bottle of milk.
Being a full time mom at the age of eighteen is hard. My baby may be an angel but I barely get sleep at night. I don't know how Darren can sleep through her cries at night but he's very helpful and he's an amazing father to my baby girl.
"Thank you. I just want this milk to be in here before we leave.".
"I'm gonna go and get everything ready that's in the car." He grabbed the keys to his car and walked out.
We were heading out of town today and we were driving to Kansas. We just decided to just spend some time there instead of booking a flight to New York. I couldn't wait and I knew this would be our first mini trip as a family.
"Darren." I stood up.
"Wassup?" He shouted.
I walked out of the house with Da'jiah in my arms and gently rocked her whilst kissing her cheek. She was so quiet and so warm too. You know that nice smell that babies have, I seriously am low-key addicted to the smell.
"My mom called me. Asked me if I was okay." I started off.
"She said that she hasn't heard from Miss Prince in a long time. The house is quiet. No guys head over there too." I mentioned.
"I don't care about her. As far as I'm concerned, she isn't my mother." Darren shook his head and slammed the boot of the car shut, startling Jiah and I.
