Chapter 26: Finale pt 2

10:00 p.m

Omniscient

Jaliyah's eyes fluttered open and her body lightly rose up. She was confused but she then realised that she and Cameron were still in the back seat of the SUV. She gave Cameron a nudge and he woke up too, rubbing his eyes and asking where they were.

"I don't know. George, where are we?" Jaliyah questioned.

"We're heading to the opening. Y'all were conked the fuck out." He chuckled.

"What time is it?" She looked down at Cameron's watch.

"IT'S TEN?!" Jaliyah screamed causing Cameron and George to jump.

"Yeah, it is." Cameron said holding on to his chest.

"I was supposed to be there a long time ago! What were you doing, George?" She said starting to get worried.

"I went to get my food." He said innocently.

"Then I got a call from your sister. She told me to drive around for an extra hour. I just followed the orders." He shrugged.

"Jalani..." Jaliyah shook her head wondering what was up.

"Well, could you like, speed things up maybe?" She asked twisting her lips to the side.

"I'll try.." He said.

She sat back and felt Cameron's arms wrapped around her body. It made her feel a little better which made her smile a little. He dug into his pocket and pulled his phone out.

"My phones dead..." He smacked his teeth.

"You need to call someone?" She ran her hand through his curls.

"Nah, I was gonna check my Snapchat." He shook his head.

"Oh..." She slowly nodded her head.

"Hopefully, when we get there, everything is under control.".

Thirty minutes later, the couple arrived to the Salon. Jah's GlamShop. She looked up and grinned at the sign. She then looked at the entrance doors and didn't see none of her subscribers waiting in line. She was so confused and was starting to get ticked off. Inside the Salon, Jalani was trying her hardest to get everybody quiet or everything will be ruined. The white double doors opened, revealing an angry Jaliyah walking through, ranting to Cameron.

"SURPRISE!" Everyone jumped up.

Everyone was hidden in the reception area surprising Jaliyah on her special day. Her reaction was priceless. Her mouth widened and so did her eyes as she covered her face with her hands.

"On the count of three..." Queen said with her phone in her hand as she stood on to the Receptionist's desk.

"One, two, three...!" She yelled recording on Snapchat.

Nearly everybody had their phones out and so did Jaliyah. She didn't know what to do or say as her thumb was on the recording button. At the end of the song, the all clapped and cheered whilst she tried to get herself together.

"Thank you guys!" She grinned spotting her subscribers.

"Uh...." She spoke.

Jess came forwards with a mic and handed it over to her. Jaliyah held it to her mouth and tried to figure out what she was going to say.

"Oh my gosh...! I honestly don't know what to say! I just want to thank every single one of you for coming out here and surprising me like this. I thought I was going to have to scream at somebody tonight because I didn't see anyone outside." She smiled.
