I hopped onto the back of Jack's horse. Id be leaving this place, what if I see that woman again. I started to shake."Calm down" Jack said back at me. I start to relax a tiny bit. He had the most soothing voice out of the three, though it was a bit raspy.
I fell asleep, which was hard on a horse. I woke when we arrived at sun down, most of the town was asleep by now, but there were horses pulling wagons, and busy bargainers. We passed the town and headed into a small section of trees.
We arrived at a small inn. I got down from the horse, looking around while the three men tied down the horses in a small barn. It was very brown and green here. There was a big glistening lake beside them.
We went inside the inn. There was a old plump man sleeping behind a big desk. "Eh Cap'n" Harvey bellowed. The old man jolted awake. "Oh haha Harvey who you got er' anotha lady friend Eh?" He said with a wink. "Unfortunately not like that" he sighed. The old man handed Harvey a key. We made our way upstairs and to the right, then he opened a door. The room was large, but not fit for four people. There was one large bed and another smaller bed to the left of it.
"I'll give up my bed for the princess." Harrison gestured for me to sit on the smaller bed. And I just glared.
"What do you guys do?"
"Well why were explorers!" Harrison said.
"Explorers?" I questioned.
" We discover and explore things darling."
"But what have you discovered, or explored?"
"We're working on it love." Harvey answered, " now let's go to sleep." Blowing out the candle.
The next morning
I woke up first, it's been along time since I've been in a bed. The sun was slowly creeping up above the horizon. I sneaked out the door and down the stairs, out the door. I found myself walking along the outline of the lake. It was cold out for a summer day, but it was comforting. I started to hum a little bit. Those three boys were interesting characters.Harrison was full of him, but a gentleman at heart. He was actually pretty short, but taller then me. He could be trying to seem more masculine by flirting with everyone.
Harvey acts like what people want him to act like. But with Harrison and Jack, he's him. He seemed to be the most masculine. He had the start of a beard, with good bone structure.
Jack is hard to read. He's quiet, but seems understanding. He has a face in the middle of a young man and a boy,
A peculiar strong neck and jawline.
I was focusing on describing his features, not looking where I was going, I tripped and fell into the lake. Luckily it wasn't deep, but I was still drenched by the time I got out. I sat down at the edge, arms crossed, feeling sad for myself. I saw Harrison coming up to me.
"This is why you dont explore-"
"You're an explorer."
"-without me." He smiled. He sat down beside me "this is my favorite town so far, it's so fresh and humble."
We sat there in silence, looking at the lake and the sun rise, til my clothes were dry and everyone was awake.
I heard a rustle from the woods. I turned, getting a glimpse of warm brown eyes, followed by a big fluffy brown body. I smile at the creature, knowing I'll see it again soon
