The play was going well so far, you managed to deliver your lines despite being tense the entire time but you masked it. Every once in a while, your eyes would dart to the exit of the stage where Jungkook stood, Jimin would be on the other side.

You were hoping that the letter was just a lie or that the assassin was chicken. It was near the end of the play when the scene where Juliet would 'kill' herself would happen.

You grasped the vial that was in your hands, the ochre colored liquid was apple juice according to Namjoon. You were facing the audience, with your fingers wrapped around the cover, you opened it and brought the rim close to your lips.

The strong smell of the apples began to fill your nose and you downed it in one gulp. The sweet taste stained your tongue and travelled down your throat.

A large scream echoed throughout the theatre and suddenly everything went dark. The curtains from above dropped suddenly separating you from the rest of the people. Your eyes widened when you suddenly realized what was happening.

You spun around, squinting your eyes as they tried to adjust to the darkness, you looked for something you could use to defend yourself.

But, a strong sense pain had you curling on the floor. You groaned, clutching your stomach as your head began to throb. You heard the frenzied footsteps of people probably running outside the theatre, voices that you could barely distinguish.

"So you finally figured out which scene we were talking about?" You managed to face your head to where the voice had been coming from. Your vision had been met with a pair of legs clad in black pants and boots that you knew who they belonged to.

"Yo-Yoongi..." You managed to say, coughing and further curling up into a ball. The moment that you opened your eyes, you were met with the same leather boots that were now inches from you.

You felt your chin being forced to look up as your eyes met with Yoongi's. You clenched your teeth in pain as you tried to keep your vision clear.

"Too bad in this version of Romeo and Juliet," Through the darkness, you saw his arm raise up and you could make out a dagger, "Romeo kills Juliet."

You braced yourself, readying yourself for what you knew was coming. Your eyes were tightly shut when instead of the impact of the knife, you felt yourself collapsing on the floor.

"Are we changing the plot now? Then can Juliet have a knight in shining armor to save her?" You recognized the voice as Jungkook's and you heard the sound of things crashing into one another.

Somehow, you were at peace knowing that Jungkook would somehow find a way to save you. Whatever you had ingested was greatly empowering your senses, and before you knew it, everything went black.

You woke up and instead of the clinic's white walls, you were met with your own home's familiar interior. You couldn't help but feel a sense of dejavu begin to creep in.

This time, you were alone, you found the strength to sit up and noticed that you weren't feeling as bad compared to the last time that an attack happened.

'Maybe whatever substance that the assassin had used wasn't as strong.'

The bed creaked underneath your weight as you stood up, you were no longer dressed in the gown but a pair of pajamas that you kept in the closet. You tried your best to ignore the pestering thought of who could have changed you.

Making your way outside the room, you were met with four people in the living room, three of them had been there the last time that you passed out, Jimin, Yoongi and Jungkook.

"JR?" You made your way towards them and they all looked towards you. Although you were focusing on the organizer, you didn't fail to notice the guilty look on Yoongi's face. You dismissed it.

"(Y/N)!" Jungkook was the first to scramble from his seat and make his way towards you, "Are you okay?" You noticed the cuts on his cheek and bruises on other parts of his face. Your heart immediately dropped at the sight of him.

"I should be asking you that!" You corrected him and pointed at his face, "Did you get it from..." You didn't need to continue your sentence the moment that Jungkook flashed you a small smile that answered all your questions. Before the two of you could talk more, you found yourselves making your way to the couch.

Ironically enough, Yoongi was seated on the other side of you.

"Hello, Romeo." You dryly say with a smirk on your face. He rolled his eyes and shifted to face Jonghyun. You did the same and waited for him to speak.

Jonghyun noticed the tense atmosphere in the room and began to shuffle through the files that he always seemed to have, "Looks like you and your brother are tied to first place. Your cousin only has two protectors." You bit your lower lip and nodded. He then turned to Yoongi.

Yoongi sighs, but he looked at you straight in the eye, "I surrender and I will commit to be your protector." Although you could hear the uncertainty in his voice, you were satisfied and you nodded.

"Welcome to the team." You joked, Jimin and Jungkook only sighed in relief while Yoongi kept a straight face. His usual face, but you still thought that it was better than the fake one he put on during the play.

Jungkook winced under the touch of the cotton on his face, you sighed before dipping it into the disinfectant again.

"Stop moving, Jungkook. You're gonna make it worse." He groans and mumbles something that you could barely understand, "I also can't believe that you didn't bother to patch yourself up first." You scolded him. You used your left hand to stabilize his head, it cupped the side of his face while your right hand gently dabbed his cuts.

"Who else was going to keep an eye on Yoongi 'til Jonghyun arrived." You sigh before gently wiping the other cut, he winced again and you tried to make your grip on his face a bit firmer.

"Jimin," You shouted over your shoulder as you made your way to the fridge, grabbing an ice pack and making your way back to Jungkook who was seated on one of the chairs. You gently pressed it against one of the bruises, "This bruise is really ruining-"

"My handsome face?" You rolled your eyes and slightly pressed it a bit harder causing him to wince.

"-your already hideous face, rather." That was a lie, you saw how the girls at school swooned over him and you had to admit that he was really appealing and easy on the eyes. Jungkook pouted and began to whine again. You only chuckled and adjusted the ice pack on his face.

"I'm guessing that you find Taehyung handsome," His words had almost caused you to drop the ice pack. You bit your lower lip and ignored his eyes, focusing on his bruises. "You do, don't you?"

"I don't." You answered, you saw from the side of your eye that he rolled his eyes.

"That's the biggest lie ever," He said, it was your turn to roll your eyes. "I mean, he's Kim Taehyung, I'd go gay for him." You cock an eyebrow at him and a smirk appeared on your face.

"You know, Jungkook, I'd totally support you and Taehyung." His mouth dropped at your words.

"No-I mean..." The red-haired boy wasn't able to find the words to say, you only watched him waiting for him to continue. You were satisfied with being able to silence him and continued with what you were doing.

The silence consumed the two of you for a couple more minutes, the ice pack was warming up so you decided to put it back in the freezer. But before you could stand up, Jungkook put a hand on your wrist.

"We're friends right?" You were slightly taken aback by his question, you weren't sure whether the question was a serious one, but one glance at his face had explained that it was.

You pursed your lips together, eyebrows furrowing in deep thought. Would you consider Jungkook as a friend? He was around you most of the time only because it was part of his pledge.

"I don't know," You told him, his grip on your wrist loosened, "Are we?"
