You found yourself standing in the funeral parlor that you have been to for the second time. The place again had been quiet, you could only watch with pity as the parents of Daniel weep.

You knew that they never wished for their son to participate in the contest and to risk his life, there were a couple of times that you even saw them begging him not to. But he was stubborn and he only wanted to do it for his family.

"And it led to his demise." You whispered to yourself as you eyed the casket from the distance. You stood alone in the corner of the area, your dad was probably discussing things with other family members since you didn't see him the moment that you all arrived.

"And perhaps, you'll be next." You turned your head to the side and saw your brother arrogantly looking at you. Your eyebrows furrowed at his words, your eyes remained trained on his as it began to narrow into slits.

"Maybe you shouldn't be acting too full of yourself." You gave him a smile before turning your head towards your cousin's casket, "Who would have thought that you didn't actually have the decency to actually wait 'til after the funeral to say that."

He clicked his tongue and he walked away, something that you didn't expect him to do. But you knew that the pressure was beginning to build up, and everyone was looking forward to see who would win between you and him. The two half-siblings of the Kangs.

You just had to make sure that it would be you.

The break had passed quickly and  you found yourself standing in front of the entrance of your school once again. You didn't dread school now, you dreaded the fact that the competition was nearing its end.

You still had to figure who the last two assassins were before your brother did. You knew that he was ahead, he only needed to figure out his last assassin or at least, try to survive doing so.

The school halls were noisier than ever, you figured that it was only because people haven't seen each other for quite some time. You probably would have done the same if you were in the same case or a normal student, but you were neither.

For the entire two weeks, Yoongi, Jimin and Jungkook stuck around your place and they nearly made it their own house.

"Protectors? More like freeloaders." You muttered to yourself as you dodged people who walked, you tried your best to make it to your classroom in time. But students blocked your way and you had a hard time moving past them.

The trio had the benefit of getting free food from you, since the organization did give all of you budgets.

"Come on, (Y/N)," Jimin began with a whine after you closed the fridge door. "You're not spending for anything."

You sighed and rubbed the temples of your head, "It doesn't mean that you can go snacking around every single hour, Jimin." He pouted, showing off his naturally pink lips.

"But you let Yoongi-"

"Well, Yoongi is Yoongi." You cut him off before pulling on his arm and adjusting yourself so you can push him out the door.

"What's that supposed to mean?!" You ignored him and made your way to your own room, it was suspiciously quiet today and you found yourself reaching for your phone.

There was a notification that someone had sent you a text, you opened it and saw that it came from Jungkook.

From: Jeon Jungkook

Message: Hey, I just wanted to let you know that Jin-hyung asked me to accompany him to buy boxes for WD. I'll be home in a bit, see you!
