"Reset, no reset, reset, no reset, reset..." Frisk murmured as she picked petals off a flower. She's been doing this for hours, but it always lands on "no reset".
"Frisk..." Flowey says as he watches Frisk land on "no reset" for the 9th time.
"I'm sorry Flowey, does it bother you?" She wasn't trying to be sarcastic, she was actually worried if she upset the flower.
"No! No it doesn't!" Flowey said quickly. "It's just, why don't you reset?"
"Reset? Why would I do that?" Frisk asks, even though she's the one picking the flower to see if she should reset.
"Because your bored! You want to know what would happen if you go back!"
"But I made a promise...to...to..." Frisk's voice falters.
"I know about the stinking promise, but I don't care Frisk! Just one touch of a button and that promise goes away!"
"I reset before, and he was so angry!" Frisk says, shuddering slightly as this memory resurfaces.
"Maybe you should do something different then!" Flowey says. Before Frisk could ask him what he meant, a voice carried from upstairs.
"Frisk! Dinner time!" It was Toriel, calling her to dinner. Frisk placed Flowey who was in a flower pot on her desk.
"I'll bring you some pie!" Frisk promised.
"I don't want that trash!" Flowey screamed as she rushed down the stairs.
"How are you, my child?" Toriel asks as Frisk enters the kitchen. "You've been up in your room for quite a while."
"I was talking to Flowey!" Frisk answers as Toriel goes to the dinning room and places a large Butterscotch-Cinnamon pie on the little table.
"What's the occasion? Why no snail pie?" Frisk asks as she sits at the table.
"Papyrus and Sans are coming for dinner, and Papyrus said he'll bring spaghetti!" Toriel answers cheerfully.
"It's going to be edible, I hope?" Frisk jokes.
"Well, if it's not I have some Pa-PIE-rus." Toriel laughs just as there's a knock on the door.
"That must be them!" Toriel says. "My child, can you go and open the door?" Frisk crosses the room and opens the door to see Sans and Papyrus standing there.
"Hello Frisk, the Great Papyrus is here!" Papyrus states. He's holding a large plate of spaghetti.
"Hey kiddo. In case you were wondering, it was snow problem getting here." It was snowing outside, which answered why his pun was snow related.
"SANS! Your going to make everyone sick!" Papyrus yells at his brother.
"Even before they try your spaghetti?" Sans asks, barely holding back laughter.
"Nonsense! The only reason anyone would get sick while eating my spaghetti is because they ate to much! Nyeh-heh-heh-heh!"
"Oh right, I forgot, the Great Papyrus has the best spaghetti."
"Why, I'm flattered you remember Sans."
"If you've two finished enter the house, we could eat this pie before it gets cold." Toriel cuts in. She's not mad, just stopping the conversation before Sans can make more bad puns. Like she's one to talk.A little while later, everyone was situated at the table and reluctantly eating spaghetti. But not reluctantly eating Toriel's pie.
"Hey Frisk." Sans asked.
"What is it?" Frisk questioned.
"Do you want some parmesan cheese on your spaghetti? Because you know you should keep an eye on your cheese when its up to..."
"Sans." Papyrus hissed at him from beside his brother.
"No..."
"Don't you finish that thought Sans." Papyrus warned him.
"Gouda!" Sans finishes, laughing.
"SANS!" Papyrus screams, flipping over his plate so that his spaghetti flys around the small room. Toriel doesn't seem mad at all, in fact she says:
"That's a little cheesy Sans but I think it's grate!"
"NYEH! Both of you have a terrible sense of humor!"
"Heh, heh, sorry bro!" Sans laughs.
"Well in any sense, we should get going," Papyrus says. "I'm sorry about the mess Toriel."
"It's no trouble," Toriel says. "Take care Papyrus. And you to Sans."
"Of course Tori. Hey do you mind if I talk to the kiddo for a sec?"
"Go right ahead. I'll see you on your way out Papyrus."
"Come on kiddo, we can talk down here." Sans gestures down the hallway that lead to Toriel's room. As I walk with Sans, I can tell this is one of the moments he would rather stop smiling, but sadly he can't.
"Is something wrong Sans?" I ask as he leans against the wall.
"Actually, kiddo. I have a message from Alphys."
"Alphys?"
"She says that she's trying to come up with a way to put Flowey back in his "goat" body."
"Really? That's wonderful! Is that all?"
"Yeah, But is something on your mind kiddo?" Sans asks. Frisk bites her lip. Is it such a good idea to tell him? That Flowey has been trying to persuade me to reset? Frisk wonders.
"It's about... Flowey..." Frisk starts tentatively.
"What about him?" Sans asks, a little too harshly.
"He's been trying to... to make me reset." Sans curses slightly under his breath.
"I'm not going to!" Frisk begs. She wants him to understand so badly. "I'm ignoring him! I promise!"
"You've been making a lot of promises lately kid."
"Sans, I...I...."
"Listen kiddo, I know your trying, it must be hard being an ambassador for the monsters and trying to not let that flower get to you." He thinks for a second. "If you did reset, what run was he trying to make you do?"
"A...a genocide run."
