March 24th
I was in the barn helping Grace brush her horse Oreo when Lily came up to the stall.
"Hey, are you almost ready?" She questions.
I nod. "Yeah, just let me finish up here." She nods and goes off to the detection were training in.
"Remind me again why your training her?" Grace asks moving the brush down to Oreos back while I do his neck.
"Because she wants to learn and I'm the only person that knows how to do it."
"And if you don't she's gonna do it herself." She concludes.
"Yeah and she needs to be safe or she's gonna injure herself."
"I get it. I just wish you weren't the only one who knew how so I could spend time with my best friend, before I go to California."
"That's months away. Well make time." I say helping her wrap the cover over Oreo.
"Yeah I know." She says before something caught her eye. "Uh oh."
"What?" I question turning to look at what she's looking out only to find Ben coming up to the stall.
"Hey Lyra." He says resting his arms on the stall door. "I was just wondering any news on Kayla?" He questions hopefully.
"Sorry, haven't heard anything." I say sadly and I watch his face drop.
"Thanks anyway." He says before he walks away.
"That's so pathetic."
"It's not pathetic. It's love he's in love." I say as she clips the cover on Oreo.
"Yeah and it makes me sick." She says before she fake gags.
"If I remember correctly you were just like that a few months ago." I say coming out of the stall.
"I was not." She declines coming out of the stall and locking it. "I wasn't that pathetic. There were a two way feeling between me and Mason not a one sided relationship that dosen't exist."
"It could."
"No it couldn't. You should no that from experience." At the mention of Henry I stop, causing her to turn around. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean-" She starts.
"I've got to go." I turn around and exit the barn. I'll just take another way I thought. I walk the long way to our arena. I plaster a smile on my face and walk in the fence.
"You ready?" I question.
"Yeah, lets do this." She says excitedly.
"Okay, hop on Clyde." I order naming the horse were using. "Okay." I say once she got on. "Now do a lap around the track." She takes off and I go stand in the middle. "Okay now pick up a canter. Okay good now slowly rise out of your saddle." I order. "Okay, good stay balanced. That's it good."
"That was okay for your first try." I say when she comes over.
"Okay? That was great. I bet I could do better." She says before she goes for another lap.
"Lily! No." I say as she gets Clyde into a gallop and stands up fully. "Lily get him to slow down!" I order her, but as usual she dosen't listen. "Lily!" She finishes her lap and comes up to me.
"Are you insane? You aren't ready for galloping yet. You just started."
"I know, but did you see that? That was awesome."
"Yeah, I did see that. Which is why were done." I snap before walking away.
"She's just like you when you were younger." Says a guy with silk black hair, tan skin and dark green eyes. He's dressed in a white t-shirt, Black leather jacket and black leather jeans.
"Never letting anyone tell you what to do."
