My Soulmate

Chapter Two: Keith

Keith was 7, he lived in an orphanage and he didn't really have friends so he always played by himself.

One day Keith was playing oh the trees when a branch broke and Keith fell. Luckily he didn't break anything, but his right arm hurt a lot. Until it disappeared, as if nothing was wrong. Keith was freaked out so he ran to the orphanage and went up to one of his care takers.

"Ms. Claire something is wrong with my arm. I was playing on the trees and I fell on my right arm and it really hurt, but then all the pain dissapered!" Keith explained.

"Ok Keith, first of all you know your not allowed to play on the trees. And second of all your pain went away because you have a soulmate." Ms.Claire said calmly.

"What the heck is a soulmate." Keith said confused.

"A soulmate is someone who you have a special bond with. And this bond gives you an ability to take away any pain of thiers, and they could do the same." Ms.Claire explained.

"Why would you take someone that you don't know, pain away. It's dumb and weird." Keith said.

"Haha. You'll understand when you're older but until then go on and play, but stay off the trees!" Ms.Claire yelled as Keith walked away.

As Keith went back to his tree, he kept think about what Ms.Claire said, that's when Keith made the decision not to take his soul mates pain. It just wasn't right.

After a few weeks

Over the past few weeks Keith was experimenting on the whole soulmate pain thing. And from what he found out his soulmate was annoying because they kept on taking all his pain. Although it did give Keith more energy, all the kids would stay even more far away from him. Since he had no pain and was known as a freak.

But Keith could care less. They would talk about him and for some reason Keith didn't like that.

Three years

Keith hated school. Sure he had the highest grades and scores for a 10 year old, but to Keith they were pointless.

He also hated the fact that every day an annoying kid comes up to see if the rumors are true. They would push him and hurt him, they did everything they want until they are satisfied. Keith could fight back and he would if it wasn't the fact that the next time he gets in a fight he has to go to a foster home. Freaking annoying in Keiths opinion.

Especially at the orphanage since he has to bear with the rumors all night long. Even after school is out.

Two weeks

On June 3, at 2:45am, Keith was board so he decided to sneak out of the orphanage and climbed his tree. It was a warm night and Keith loved it. Things at school are still the same and Keith really didn't feel like sleeping since he always got nightmares about his dad.

Keiths mom abandoned him when he was a baby, so he doesn't really remember her. However his father stayed with him, until the fire. Keith remembers the heat, the sound, the color of the fire. But most of all he remembers his father running into there burning house yelling at Keith to stay away. Keith blames himself for not being able to save his dad. Although Keith won't take his soul mates pain away, he will find a way to get them to stop and live happily. Keith felt bad about the pain they had to take and feel just because of him.

"Snap!" The branch Keith was sitting on broke and Keith fell hard on his leg. The pain was so intense for the first 5 second until it disappeared like always.
