Chapter 6: Dream State

Lance opened his eyes to see flames everywhere. He felt the heat and saw the burning furniture and when he looked out the window he saw Keith.

Keith was young and there was also a man. Tall and good looking, however, he had a scar on his face.

Lance wasn't getting hurt by the flames so he decided to just walk out. Making his way to Keith he began to feel desperate, scared, and sad. But Lance didn't know why.

"Dad!!! Please don't go back, what if you don't come out again." Keith was crying and holding onto his father's arm desperately.

"Your mother left something for you and I need to go get it. So stay here and wait for me." Keith's dad got his arm free and went straight into the fire. Keith began to go after him, however, it was to late. When Lance looked behind him he saw the house explode and Keith's dad still inside. But befor anything else could happen Keith looked into Lances eyes.

Lance woke up again but in a different place. This time it was in a tunnel surrounded by grafiete. Then Lance saw Keith and two guys following him. Eventually they caught up with Keith and pinned him down.

"So your the freak who's soulmate takes all the pain away. Why don't we test it out!" One dude said. He began to pull out a pocket knife that looked really sharp.

Lance heard Keith give out a wimper. Then Lance began to feel hopeless and scared he wanted to run away and cry. But he knew that it wasn't him who was feeling that, instead it was Keith.

Lance watched as the two thugs cut Keith. He saw the long line form on Keith's bicep and he felt the pain of it however it only lasted for 5 seconds then it was gone. Soon they begin to cut even more onto Keith's left arm and Lance felt everything.

Even though the pain was gone Lance still felt it. After all he also had to experience the pain alone.

It was eventually the other dudes turn and Keith looked like he was in so much pain. But befor the other dude did anything Keith looked into Lances eyes and saw tears of fear in them.

Soon the dude went to work. He carved the word "DIE!" Into Keith's right forearm and for a moment Lance wanted to puke. He wanted to cry because he remembered that night and the pain. Finally the dude cut a deep long line down Keith's wrist. Blood began to poor out and the two thugs left laughing.

Keith looked like he was in so much pain. And soon that cut went away to. Keith was crying and Lance began to hear Keith's thoughts.

"Stop taking my pain away. Your hurt now because of me. It's all my fault."

Befor Lance could do anything else the scene changed again. This time it was dark and musty. It looked like a bedroom, it smelled like beer and sweat and it gave Lance a creepy vibe. The door opened up and he saw Keith, but befor anything else happened Keith looked at Lance and then was thrown into the bed.

Lance watched as Keith struggled to get away from the guy who was named Greg, but Greg was to strong. Lance wanted to punch the guy right there and then but he couldn't move the ground wouldn't let him. So instead Lance had to watch as Greg raped Keith.

Lance couldn't take it anymore when he looked away he realized he was in a new area, he was in space. Lance began to look around and soon spotted Keith sitting down crying.

"Keith??"

Keith looked up and spotted Lance as soon as he did he began to ramble.

"I'm sorry Lance. I put you in so much pain and I wasn't strong enough to help you. I never meant to hurt you, I was just scared and I felt alone."

"Hey man it's ok I forgive you because non of it is your fault. Listen I saw everything that happened to you so now I understand. Now I can be here for you when you have those flashbacks or if your scared."

"But why would you want to help me?" Keith gave Lance a sad and confused look.

"Because the team loves you, they need their samurai back. But also I want to help you because....because....I love you, I need you here with me Keith, so please come back with me."

Keith looked at Lance surprised at first, but then a huge smile began to form on his face. When Lance held his hand out Keith took it, they began to get closer and soon they finally kissed.

Lance woke up in a jolt, and scared the living hell out of Hunk and Pidge. Hunk yelled to tell the others about Lance being awake. Soon everyone was in the room asking Lance all kind of questions but Lance wasn't listening. Instead he stared at Keith waiting for him to wake up. Finally Keith opened his eyes. And everyone tackled him in a hug.

Once Keith was finally free he saw Lance holding his hand tightly. Pidge finally spoke up since she understood what was happeneing.

"Come on guys let's give Keith and Lance some time alone."

Soon everyone got the message and all left. On the way out Hunk paid Pidge ten dollars. As soon as the door closed Keith tackled Lance in a hug and Lance huged back.

"Hey Lance....did you mean what you said?"

"Of course I did, I love you Keith and without you I probably would of gone crazy already. You mean so much to me." Lance could hear Keith crying.

"Hey? Why are you crying?"

"B-because I th-th-thought you were g-g-going to h-hate me forever."

Lance couldn't help but laugh and smile.

"D-don't l-l-laugh at me."

"Hahaha! I'm sorry it's just funny, I would never hate you."

That's when Lance kissed Keith and to his suprise Keith kissed back.

"Hey Keith will you be my boyfriend?"

Keith was so happy to hear this.

"Yes!"

Soon everyone came back in so they could make sure that the two boys were ok after their trip. And when they announced their relationship everyone was happy for them. After eating and getting checked up everyone got tired and were sent to bed.

But instead of Keith going to his room he went to Lances. Keith was still scared of the dream and he didn't want to be separated from Lance, plus Lance was in a very protective boyfriend mode. The two boys were finally in bed cuddling each other. Keith was listening to Lance talk about his family and Lance was messing with Keith's beautiful hair.

Eventually Keith got up and kissed Lance one last time befor he fell asleep. Lance was surprised at first but kissed Keith back finally they pulled apart.

"Goodnight Lance, I love you."

Lance smiled, "I love you to Keith."

And with that they both fell asleep in each other's arms.
