I shouldn’t be this anxious. Wala naming nakaka-alam na akin yung kamay na namisikal kay Clevor.
……….Kahit na sabihin ko yun sa utak ko ng paulit-ulit, di pa din maalis sakin ang pagka-nerbyos. Rinig na rinig ko yung mga estudyanteng nadadaaanan ko.
“Pfft, Poor Clevor.”
“Nag-screen capture ako ng mukha ni Clevor pwedeng gawing meme. Hahaha.”
“Ssh. Wag kayong maingay baka may makarinig sa inyo. Hahaha.”
Dumating ako sa room na yun pa din ang usap-usapan, napa-hikab ako ng wala sa oras. Kamuntik na kong mabilaukan nang dumating si Sir Ables, Calculus professor namin, pero hindi dahil sa kanya.
“Morning class. For those who failed the exam and those who were absent yesterday, I will be giving you remedial today. Please follow me in room 413 if your names are called.”
Isa-isang tumayo ang mga estudyanteng hindi nakapasa at absent. There I realized while my classmates are marching out of the room, that I have a classmate whose name is Levy. The best explanation would be that she’s the one Clevor was talking about.
On the other hand, bakit nasa labas si Clevor at yung isang lalakeng palagi nyang kasama?
“Miss Levy.”
“Miss Levy.”
“Earth to Miss Levy, hello?”
“A-ah! Sorry sir, bakit po?” Naramdaman ko ang titig sakin ng mga kaklase ko.
“Come to 413 as well. The remaining students self-study about the next topic. You can look it up to your books chapter 37.” Shet bakit kaya. Hindi naman ako bagsak? Bakit ako babagsak?
Habang naglalakad ay ramdam ko ang titig sakin nung Clevor. To avoid any trouble nakadikit lang ako kay Sir Ables. “Sorry Miss Levy, may faculty meeting kasi kami ngayon. I need you to take over the remedial class for me. Magbabantay ka lang habang nageexam sila. You know my rules.”
“Y-yes po pero sir.”
“Ano yun?” Inaayos ko ang salamin ko.
“Sachiro na lang po itawag nyo sakin.”
“Are you being informal to me now?”
“Nako hindi po, may isa pa po kasing Levy dito.”
“It’s okay, I recognize Miss Santiaguel very well.” Who wouldn’t? She’s at least one of the prettiest girls of this University. Only Clevor, would make a mistake as stupid as that.
At hindi na ako nakipagtalo pa. I heard him chuckle. Napansin ko din na madami pang from other classes na magr-remedial. I can’t believe I was asked to handle them.
