The Trouble of Hellos

“Ma, aalis na po ako. Hindi po ako magpapagabi.” Naglalaba si Mama nang umalis ako ng bahay. Gusto ko sana syang tulungan kung wala lang akong lakad ngayon. Looking at her, naalala kong malapit na din pala ang birthday ni Mama, I want to give her a present pero kulang ang allowance ko for now. 

Meanwhile, I heard from Astrid that Clevor is studying Business Management, him at Political Science while the other guy Bakugo studies Information Technology; which is why he was forced to come with us.

“My Saturday’s supposed to be my gaming day.” –Bakugo

“Come on aren’t you playing every day?” –Astrid

Napasalampak sa upuan si Bakugo as a sign of defeat. Actually, nandito kami ngayon sa library ng University, nasa tapat ng laptop while Bakugo is doing his tricks to track the uploader.

“Marunong ka naman maghack Astrid why do you have to call me here, I’m wasting my time.”

“Kung kasing galing mo lang ako with computers then I wouldn’t have to call you.”

Hindi ko alam ang eksaktong plano ni Astrid kung bakit pinapunta nya si Bakugo when he can’t decipher the account himself. Pero na-amaze ako sa bilis ng kamay at utak ni Bakugo while facing the laptop.

“Now I know why you can’t get passed through his security Astrid.”

Napatingin kami dalawa kay Bakugo.

“I’ve only taught you about the basics of hacking, but this person programmed some complications the basics can’t reach, too bad.”

“Hm, but you can track him, right?” Nakangising sagot ni Astrid. Habang ako di makapag salita sa kinauupuan ko dahil wala akong maitulong.

“Too bad for him I’m a professional hacker.” Di ko mapigilan na mapangiti sa kanya nang sabihin nya yon. “But it won’t be easy. It may take few hours for me to hack him.”

I was just staring at him while he’s doing the work, and I realized he’s the cutest of the three.

“Ba’t ka nakatitig sakin?” Napa-iwas ako ng tingin. Nakakahiya; narinig kong tumawa sa gilid si Astrid.

“Please excuse him, he’s a virgin.” Sabay kindat sakin ni Astrid. Mahina namang sinipa ni Bakugo si Astrid sa paa habang si Astid naman tawa lang ng tawa, di ko na rin naman mapigilan ang mapangiti.

“I’ll get you something to drink. Anong gusto nyo?” Pag-aalok ko sa kanila.

“Ah! Ako na Miss Levy.” –Astrid

“Nope, it’s okay. And call me Sachi, please.” Nakangiti kong sagot. Since dadaan na din naman akong rest room, this is the best I can do.

“If you insist, soda na lang sakin and strawberry kay Bakugo.” Astrid replied, while Bakugo is still infused at the screen.

“Don’t mind him, di mo sya makakausap pag ganyan sya. Wala yang naririnig.” –Astrid

“Okaaay.”

“And oh, please make the soda 2.” Pahabol ni Astrid.

Naglakad ako pababa ng building at papunta sa rest room, I fixed my hair a little. He seemed different. Unknowingly ay naalala ko si Bakugo. While Clevor looks the outrageous type and Astrid looks the approachable one, Bakugo seems the introvert  type of person.

Matapos kong bumili sa vending machine ay dumiretso na ako sa library. But to my surprise…

“Ang lupet mo talaga Bakugo!” Naka-akbay kay Bakugo at may pag suntok pa sa ere ang ganap ni Clevor. It’s the first time I saw him that happy. “We finally found that stupid culprit.”
