----- at Alex's house ------- alex p.o.v.

"so what do you want to talk about" said Haley

"what ever you want to" I said

"well that helps a lot" she said while smiling then her phone whent off and the caller i.d. said it was her dad

"I have to get this" she side

"ok" I side

on the phone "yes dad.yes.i don't know.love you to.bye."

"what did he want?" i asked

"oh,  he just wanted to know when i would be home and if i was okay." she said

"that is all are you sure" i said

while she sat on the bed "yes"

Haley p.o.v.----------

i sat on the bed by him and it was almost my birthday and i would be 18 and find my mate i would just have to wait till 5o'clock tonight and it is 4:30 p.m.

we spent the next half an hour laughing and talking. then it was 5 o'clock when he said

" happy birthday haley" he said with a present in his hands

i hugged him and said " thanks"

i opened the present and it was a golden necklace with a heart that said "be mine" on it

my wolf was saying to "mate,mate, mate!!!"

"your my mate." i said out loud

he said"yes i am"

"wait you have knowing this a long and you havn't told me!"

"yes i have only for a month, but i was waiting till you turned 18"

i said with a sigh "it is ok you know i can't stay mad at people for long, eccspisely my mate."

he said" i know" and huged me

i huged him back and then his head bent down to mine so our eyes meet and then he moved forward so our forheads touch then he said

"can i kiss you?"

i said "if you want to"

with that he kissed me my eyes shut and it look as if fire works where going off. then he backed up and said

"do you want me to take you home?"

"sure" i said and got off his bed and got my stuff and then waited for him in his car. then he got in and drove to my house before i got out he said

" can i pick you up for school tomorrow?"

"sure, why"

"because you are my mate and i don't want anyone hurting you."

"okay, bye see you tomorrow."

"bye" i got out and saw that the house lights where off adn i was wondering was dad even home yet.

then opened the door and turend on the light and my pack said

"SUPRISE!!!!!!!"

then my dad "happy birthday sweetheart" this time i was suprised my dad wasn't drunk and what did he just call me sweet heart. this day is getting even better and better. then a warm pair of arms wrapped around my waist and someone wispered in my ear

"happy birthday again." alex said

"thanks again" i said laughing

then i opened my presents and i got a laptop from everone and a card from everyone and they had all signed it and that is like 20 signtures on one card!!!!!! that is a lot.

then everyone left and my dad said to me

"i promise i will stop drinking, that is my real birthday present to you."

i huged him and said " thank you " over and over agin

finely i was free from abuse and my dad is done drinking
