Shane's POV I'm sitting outside Mia's house waiting to go to this party, she somehow convinced me to let her go to. I wouldn't care if it was someone else's party but it was Desmond's. Desmond is a junior and one of the football players, I mean me and him are cool or whatever but I know how he is and I know how he is with girls. Not saying I'm some loyal person cause I'm not well I am but only cause I love Mia, but other girls before I didn't care enough about their feelings to not cheat. Anyways, him and Mia grew up together so I knew he wouldn't try anything with her, hell I wouldn't allow anything to happen between them, but still something just didn't seem right to me, I got this bad vibe from it. I was just ready for this night to end, so I could cuddle Mia.
Mia finally came outside and when she did my jaw dropped. She was wearing a black lace dress that came right above her knees and black heels that made her short legs somehow look long. Her usual curly untamed hair was straightened perfectly and long. She looked so damn beautiful, too beautiful, I didn't want anyone else seeing her. "Hey" Mia said getting into my car and kissing my check. "Hey, beautiful, you look breathtaking tonight." I said staring at her a little too hard. "Thanks babe." "Yeah maybe you should change, you look too good for my liking. You know there will be guys there trying to make a move on you". Sighing she looks at me like she didn't hear me correctly the first time, "Shane seriously calm down, it's not a big deal. I'm not changing." "Seriously?", I asked starting to get a little agitated because she isn't doing as I say. "Yes." I huffed, laughing dryly and started the car and driving off.

The whole ride was quiet. I kept glancing over at her but she was obviously annoyed with me but any guy would want their girlfriend to change if she looked as good as Mia did right now. We finally made it to the party and when we did I wasn't surprised to see so many people there. I got out going to get Mia's door, but she was already out standing there waiting on me I guess. I grabbed her hand and we headed towards the flashing lights, loud music and extra loud people. Walking in I seen everyone from school there, even other schools were there. As soon as we got in Mia pulled away from me looking around, she stopped and her small smile faded away. When I looked up to see what she was looking at it was her best friend, well ex best friend Carter . Carter and Mia were best friends for a long time but that ended last summer when Carter tried to get with her and Mia didn't feel the same about him so he stopped talking to her. I grabbed Mia going to the opposite side of the party, I wanted her to have fun she deserved it. Now this wasn't her first party however it was her first party with me.
A few minutes later she was fine, she was somewhere dancing around with Tamia and some other girls she met at school I guess. I was sitting with Giovanni my best friend drinking and laughing, Giovanni was Mia's cousin, that's actually how we met. Anyways back to the party, me and Giovanni were in the middle of a conversation, drinking and having a good time when Desmond came up to me and Giovanni with his friend Lorenzo and Ryan who were also on the football team. We were all chatting, and laughing when Lorenzo opened up his mouth, "DAMN look at Mia, she got badd as fuck. I haven't seen her in so long bro" he said. Lorenzo was also one of Mia's childhood friends, she grew up with more guys than girl considering she didn't have any siblings and her moms friends mostly had boys she was always around guys. I balled my fist and my jaw clenched, Giovanni's mouth dropped at his choice of words. " Hey don't talk about her like that" Desmond said. "Bro what? Look at her, do you not see her ass in that dress?" "Lorenzo bro chill that's Shane's girl." "Swear? Bro I'm sorry I didn't know, no disrespect." "It's all good" I said and we did a little handshake.
After a while I went to look for Mia, I seen Tamia but I didn't see her. I walked towards her to see where Mia went. "Hey where's Mia?" "She went to the bathroom I'm pretty sure." "Okay." I started heading towards the bathroom and stopped dead in my tracks. "Wow Mia." I had no words to describe what I just seen, I just knew that if I didn't walk away then things would get ugly quick. So that's what I did, walking away while the tears threatening to come out were burning my eyes. I headed out the door and straight to my car and turned around when Mia was right behind me. "SHANE STOP, it wasn't what it looked like." I scoffed and put my head down so I wouldn't have to look at her disgusting face."Mia I'm going home are you coming or not?" "Shane wait, what you seen back there wasn't what it looked like, seriously just listen for a second." Laughing sarcastically I look at her eyebrows rose, "Really cause it looked like you and Desmond were having a pretty fun time with his hands up your dress, and you didn't look too eager to stop him." She looked at me her face contorting into one of defeat, "Shane can we just please talk about thi-" "Mia just get in the fucking car so I can go home or I'm leaving you here and Desmond can take you home if that flatters you more." She didn't say anything and just went to the passenger side and hopped in.
The whole way home she didn't say anything and neither did I. What was there to say I just found her getting fingered by one of her "close friends". And she didn't try to stop it, she was moaning so obviously she enjoyed it, dropping her off I headed home which was just across the street. That's how we met, we're neighbors and we had to ride the bus together every morning. I helped her get situated when she first moved in since she didn't really know the bus schedule that well. And I was and still am best friends with her cousin Giovanni who just lives around the corner from us both. I walked into the house only to be greeted by my annoying older brother Cody who I didn't know was still home from college. "Shane." "What do you want Cody?" "What the hell got into you? Shit I just wanted to say bye to my little brother before I leave." I just sighed walking away going to my room. I wanted to go to sleep and pretend none of this happened.
