Cry sat in his seat, looking down at his phone. The text's were there yet he couldn't believe what he was reading.
"I love you." "I'm so happy you're coming to visit." From Minx. His eye's ran over the words over and over. Had he known this before hand, he probably wouldn't be waiting for her to pick him up at the airport. He would have tried to minimize contact with her, since he knew how much Krism adored her. He shoved his hands in his pocket and breathed in the cool air. He expected her to show up after a while but he hadn't seen her still and the anticipation was killing him. Since she had sent him the text's when he was on the plane, there was no way to turn back unless he planned on plummeting to his death which was out of the question.
"Cry!" He heard her voice and looked up to see her run in the revolving doors and slowly walk to him. He stood and hoped she wouldnt' notice how nervous he was.
"Was your flight okay?" She asked gently, steering the car down the road. Cry could barely breath as he tried to process everything. "It was good, I was comfortable for the most part and they had excellent plane food." The two of them shared a small laugh assuming they were both thinking about the terrible jokes along the lines of: 'What is the deal with plane food, am I right?'
As they pulled into her drive, Cry got out and looked up at the massive estate. It was truly amazing to see where she lived. "So, just follow me on in. We'll get you settled in no time." He shuddered, her accent was so wonderful to hear in addition to her mature tone and voice. "Okay." He just murmured back to her, walking behind her as she made her way to the door, opening it and entering; Shutting the door behind her guest.
A few hours passed and Cry was already familiar with the house, he knew where everything was and where everything was not. Now it was time for dinner as Minx had told him so he was now on his way to the dinning room. He wasn't too sure how good Minx was at cooking, but he'd just have to see. He didin't want to be rude or anything after all.
He looked around the room as he sat, taking in all the beautiful details. How she did such fine decorating he didn't know nor understand. He watched her walk out with two plates, setting one in front of him and one next to him, taking her seat. "Eat up friend. Nothing too different I suppose. Roast beef, roast ppotatoes, vegetables and Yorkshire pudding." She smiled at him, her eye's lighting up with excitement. He looked to his plate, and she was right. It looked like normal things he'd usually eat any other time. He smiled and turned his blue eye's to face her. "Thanks for the meal Miss.Minx, I do declare you are very sweet to have prepared such a meal." He watched her burst into laughter, knowing he'd said the right things. "Wow. Cry, j-just eat." She smiled wide, wiping tears from her eyes. "Alright just let me pick up this here fork and we'll begin." He couldn't tell if she was nervous too, or just that the accent he was using was getting to her when she laughed at him being a huge dork, though he guessed the latter.
After they'd finished the two of them sat on the couch, watching E3 recaps together. "You know, I'm glad I came. It's a nice change of pace." He said softly. He felt Minx shift next to him and he turned, suddenly feeling lips press against his own. Soft lips, and the kiss full of warmth. Once they pulled away, he saw a very nervous Minx. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean-" He pressed his finger to her lips.
"Do you ever shut up?" He chuckled, feeling warmth spread on his face and he kissed her back. "I love you too." He watched her smile and pulled her into a hug.
