Honey grabbed my hand racing to sit down near a piece of cake. 'This doesn't look much like a music room...' I thought, looking around. A boy carrying a black notebook and wearing glasses came up to me.
"I'm sorry Lady River but the host club is not in session at this time." He said bowing deeply, avoiding eye contact.
"Oh don't worry Kyo-Chan, She's with us! She was transferred to our class from a private one! She said the private one didn't profit her family at all!" Honey said excitedly, bouncing around in his seat while eating his cake.
"Oh well in that case I guess I should introduce you to all of us, though I'm sure you already know who we are." He grinned at me already risen from his bow.
"Yes I do so therefore I need no introduction. It just wastes time. But if you insist Kyoya Ootori I will prove my knowledge." I said smiling politely. "Of course you are Kyoya Ootori, 3rd son of the Ootori family. Though being the smartest of the sons you have no chance of owning your fathers company. Here we have Mitskuni Haninozuka and his cousin Takashi Morinozuka. Both being very skilled from the families they were born into. Those twins over there are Hikaru and Kaoru Hitachiin. They distanced themselves from others, That is until recently. That girl over there is Haruhi Fujioka, honors student. Dispite her gender she can pull off being a host because of her flat chest and short hair." I Said then walking over to the last one. "And last but not least, Tamaki Suoh. Oh I know much about you, I'm surprised you don't remember me...." I said trailing off.
"Wait River-Chan, You know Tama-Chan?" Honey asked, tilting his head to the side. I didn't respond, keeping my eye contact with Tamaki. I saw his eyes widen a bit before he began to silently walk over to me. When he neared close enough to touch me he grabbed me in a tight hug.
"So this is why you left France all those years ago. I always thought you were joking, you were just obsessed with always acting proper all the time. You had a reason to leave...but you never said goodbye." Tamaki said, i began to hug him back tears forming in my eyes.
"I'm so sorry Tamaki, but I never really liked endings. I still think of you like a brother if it still means anything to you." I replied, My voice still strong though silent tears rolled down my cheeks. When we finally broke apart my tears were gone, had they never existed. If I hadn't seen the tear marks on the back of Tamaki's shirt I wouldn't have believed those tears myself.
It was almost as if the river flowing from my eyes that day, at that very moment had to end. Maybe all rivers one day just stop moving, stop living. The thought that I may be close to finding an answer scares me. The thought that the one thing I had dedicated my life to would disappear. Just like me, when the time comes.
When the host club began hosting hours I left. I didn't want to watch girls fawn over their fake love. Me and Tamaki would have to discuss our 'arrangement' later. As I walked down the empty corridors my footsteps echoed. As I walked by the girls bathroom I heard faint sniffles.
"Are you okay?" I asked as I walked into the bathroom. I saw a girl bent over the sink, her hands over her eyes. She pulled her hands back revealing who she was. Midoki Hanuya, 2nd year. Her family has been close with mine since I can remember.
"L-Lady River! I'm sorry you had to see me in this state!" Midoki frantically said, bowing then rising again.
"Midoki tell me whats wrong?" I asked, though its not like I care. I simply think I should be informed on what I can.
"I'm sorry Lady River but I can't!" Midoki repied bowing once more before running out.
