Claire's POV

The wind howled searingly, it sounded as if it was screaming dreadfully. It blew hard against me as I was getting out from the car. I saw the mansion loomed proudly behind creaky iron gate. I squeezed the phone in my hand and walked toward the gloomy mansion.

I couldn't believe this. I was now walking toward the old place everyone said was haunted. 'I must be out of my mind!' I thought to myself. I had a feeling that my surrounding grew even darker after I went through the gate. It was harder to see, making me more nervous than I already was. Even the breaking of a simple leaves or twigs became the focus of my attention.

As I was walking uphill, I sniffed the apple blossom fragrance in the autumnal breeze and glanced upward to catch a glimpse of the moon before a dark cloud erased its precious silver rays. That was weird. But everything about this mansion wasn't right. 'Let's just finish this fast and go home!'

Towering in front of me was the mansion I had been evaded until tonight. I let out a shaking breath, then looked for the house bell. There was none! I rolled my eyes before I tried knocking; once, twice, thrice, but no answer. Ugh... Of course no one would hear. This mansion was too big.

I looked at Dayu's phone in my hand. I pressed the button at the side and the bright display immediately attacking my poor eyes. Thank God Dayu didn't lock his phone! I looked for Qing's number then hit the call. But the call couldn't get through, no signal. Fuck! I stepped down from the steps and wandering around, hoping to get some signal.

Then all of a sudden the front door slammed open and someone ran outside. I squinted my eyes to be able to recognize who it was, but it was too dark.

"It wasn't me! It wasn't me!" I heard a woman yelled. I knew that voice; it was Yinyin! What's wrong with her? Before I could call her, she ran around the house to the weir direction. It wasn't safe for her to go there alone in this darkness.

"Yinyin!" I shouted her name, hoping she would hear me. But she kept running through the hay field. I wasn't that far away from her, but these high heels I wore were preventing me from running faster.

I tried to call her one more time, and suddenly she stopped running. When I was finally able to catch her up and the distance between us was no more than few steps, I saw she held a knife in her hand; not a butter knife or pocket knife, but one perfect piece of steel with sharp cutting edge. She stood still there with her hands hanging on her side, giving her back to me.

"Yinyin?" As soon as I whispered her name, she turned tense and she was visibly shaking. I noticed her grip on the knife tightened before she turned her body to face me. The expression on her face puzzled me; surprise turning to horror. Didn't she recognize me? It was dark, but I knew she could see me clearly. But the horror seemed to be for something else, as if I was a monster out of her worst nightmare. Something so frightening that she raised the knife to ward me off, at the same time stepping away from me.

"Hey hey calm down. It's just me! Claire!" I told her as I took a step back.

Seeing her expression and movement, I believed she didn't recognize me, she didn't hear anything I said. And it made me scared. She had knife with her and I got nothing to defend myself. I had to get away from her.

Feng Huiyin's POV

I ran outside after I snatched the biggest knife I could find in the kitchen. I pushed open the front door and made my way to the weir, where she showed herself to me that night.

"It wasn't me! It wasn't me!" I yelled loudly for everybody to hear the truth. It wasn't me who killed grandpa. It was her! And if that ghost could kill grandpa, then I could kill her!
