Hello all, I am back with another request story. This time from "kingsmaker". It was to write (about) the scene where "Zhao was upset at Shen saying "I don't deserve your life energy" and Shen Wei answered with teary eyes "You are worth it". " Personally, I believe this scene might be different in the original novel, but since I did not read the novel yet let me source from the drama.
Side-note: I adore this scene very much in the drama even though it is a sad one. Maybe for that reason it was so hard to write this scene down, because the actors did a marvelous job portraying the emotions, it is hard to note it down perfectly. So please take this as a sort of a guideline only.

Yunlan woke up to a bright room.
"Maybe it is already morning?" he thought to himself, but when he checked his phone it read "2:37AM". All the lights in the apartment were on and he wondered why. "Maybe Shen fell asleep while reading a book again?" He got up to check on him, but to his surprise he saw the man not sleeping on the cough, but in the kitchen. And it looked like he was cutting something.
Yunlan smiled. "Did he wake up because he was hungry?"
"Woke up to make some night snacks?"
Shen was startled by his sudden voice. He quickly turned to him and by doing so he dropped the knife he was holding onto the floor.
Yunlan immediately noticed there was something wrong. Not only was Shen scared to see him, he was also very pale. His lips were missing that nice rose color and his eyes were glazed as if due to a fever.

Yunlan quickly grasped the situation. There was something very strange going on. When he approached Shen, the professor had to support himself on the kitchen counter to not lose his balance.
Yunlan came closer to him, but Shen refused to look into his eyes and did his best to hide his left arm behind his back. And Yunlan knew that is exactly what he has to see first. He grabbed Shen's hand and forced him to let him see it. When Yunlan saw the deep dark cut on Shen's wrist his heart ached so bad he thought someone had pushed a knife into his chest.
"Do not try to lie to me...," Yunlan said in a soft tone, but his anger slowly took over and he continued, trying his best to not show his enraging feelings. "What did you do in order to heal my eyes?"
Shen did not want to talk about this topic. It was not something they shall talk, not now, not... never. He did not need to defend his actions and he surely did not want Yunlan to know about them. Shen pried his arm out of Yunlan's grip and walked away.
