Little girl,Big purpose (prologue)

The thunder roared as the horse kept going. Never betraying it's master. He was set to keep the gem alive at all costs. Trees of all shapes and sizes surrounded the grey steed as he kept going, avoiding small animals that were running from the rain and small rocks and sticks. His white mane moving with the strong winds as he fought his way forward. As he came to an entrance of a Kingdom, he picked up his speed. As he was about to cross the bridge a loud bang was heard and a fairly big tree fell, blocking his way. He neighed out of annoyance and turned around. After a few yards he was met with a small cave, big enough to walk around in. He trotted in and in far enough that the sound of the rain was only faint. He kept his eyes on the entrance but was startled when he heard soft crying.

He looked into the basket he was holding in his mouth and set it down gently. Nudging the sweet baby in the basket until she started giggling. As her happiness grew, the sliver streak in her (h/c) hair started to glow. Seeming relaxed by this, she started to fall asleep, closing her big (e/c) eyes. The horse feeling better that the baby was still okay, curled up around it in a protective manor and soon fell asleep copying the babys soft snores.

||Dawn||

The sun crept in the cave as the baby woke up, she peeked out of the blankets as she saw the horses muzzle in front of her basket. She giggled as she reached over and petted his muzzle. The horse woke up as well and the baby giggled more. But the petting soon stopped as an adult walked into the cave. The horse quickly taking notice of the being who walked in, picked up the basket suddenly which made the baby cry. The horse backed up and took a stance. As the adult got closer, his features started to come together, dark brown eyes, black spiked hair, and olive tanned skin. He wore an apron with two weapons forming an 'X' on his shoulder. The 20 year old sighed in content as he saw what was making the noise.

"Don't worry Maya" He called over his shoulder "it was just a baby"

A young woman also holding a baby came in, her long black hair flowing behind her, blue eyes as deep as the sea and her blue dress dancing with her feet.

"Oh Ray! I wish you would be more careful!"

As she reached her partners side, the baby boy cooed for his father next to him.

"You know Kai can't be without you" she handed her son to his Father as the little boy played with the hem of his father's apron.

Maya turned to the little baby in the basket as her face softened.

"Awww isn't she precious" Maya walked up to the horse as he kept his eyes on the woman coming closer.

"Be careful honey, that's a wild horse"Ray said

"And that's a helpless crying baby" Maya retorted

Ray shut up as he was taken back by this.

Maya kept coming closer to the two and showed no fear in her eyes. She held out her hand and waited for the horse to trust her. She kept saying soothing words to make him trust her like 'I'm not going to hurt you' 'it's ok' and 'trust me'. The horse stopped trying to get away as he watched Maya do something with her hands. With the water puddles on the cave floor from last night's storm,  with a quick flick of a wrist, she lifted them up and formed a small floating water bubble . She made a horse shape and made it dance in the air, both baby's looked at this and reached for the magic water. She made small bubbles with the water and made them dance. The little girl in the basket giggled and clapped her hands at this, at that moment her silver streak glowed brightly and both adults were taken back by this but little Kai just thought it was entertaining and giggled as well. The bubble popped and formed a giant bubble, I bright light had appeared and the bubble floated down and landed in Mayas hands, the light dimmed and the bubble popped, there in Mayas hand layed a silver crystal. She turned it around and in big shinning letters wrote the name (y/n).

"(Y/n)?"Maya said quietly

"Uh hun?" Maya turned around at her husbands dilemma "did you just do that?"

Maya turned back around at the smiling baby

"No..."

The glow in the baby's hair was back to a shimmering silver as she just stared at the family in front of her. Because the Parents didn't really do anything, the little baby started to weep and then more tears streamed down her face as she kept wailing out. Her Hair glowed a viscious sliver as a giant crystal formed on the ground in front of her, almost stabbing maya if it weren't for ray pulling her back.

Little Kai manged to climb off his dad without him noticing and went towards the large crystal. He went around it to see the basket on the floor and the horse just looking for a way to stop the crying. Kai went towards the baby and the horse didn't stop him. Kai could only crawl so he couldn't get in the basket as it was too tall. He tried to stand up but he kept falling down. Y/N started to laugh as the large crystal shrank.

By now the the two Adults realised there baby was gone, but they were too big to fit in the small gap between the crystal and the cave wall. But when the crystal began to shrink they tried to peer over the top to see if kai was ok. As the crystal completely shrank they saw kai entertaining Y/N with his failure. As kai began to grow tired he showed grabby hands to his dad saying he was tired and wanted to go to bed. Ray picked him up but stayed with his wife as kai fell asleep.

Y/N's tummy rumbled as she whimpered a bit but not enough to cause a crystal chaos.

Maya looked at Ray as if saying, please?.

Ray sighed and said in a whispery voice

"Maya, that baby is a bit dangerous if she can't control her feelings she might turn the whole Kingdom into a giant crystal!"

Ray got a bit loud at the end almost waking baby Kai up.

"But Ray, she's only a Baby she doesn't know any better. We could teach her how to control it"

Ray was contemplating it inside his head, only for it change as he saw Y/N's Face. She was looking at him with big E/C eyes. Begging him silently.

Ray sighed"fine"

Maya giggled and went towards the basket and picked it up, she went to smooth the horse but it was gone.

She was confused for a second as she went to feel for it. Ray called her and she decided to just leave it.

They went inside the house, Maya gave Y/N some warm milk and Ray fixed her up a cot next to kai. Y/N fell asleep straight away after she was changed and put to bed. Ray pulled something out of his pocket and slipped it onto Y/N's small wrist. A little bracelet with three small crystals.

Maya smiled at the gift
"Welcome to the family Y/N Smith"
