Company. Its something most of us take for granted. Its when most of us feel best, when they're surrounded by others. Its gives us something to do, or something to talk about. Many may use company as a way to distract ourselves. I sit in the now clean and repaired living room of the cottage with my company. I have been on my own for around 4 years that its as if I forgot what its like to spend time with people. I personally have always enjoyed being on my own, not feeling the need to necessarily surround myself with others. And yet I have been in this small cottage with Asia and Jazz for a week now, and only just am I realising how lonely things could get when I was by myself.

Over the last week Asia and I have gotten reacquainted and its as if we never went our separate ways. We have even managed to go out to hunt together and train multiple times in combat. As for with Jazz, she has kept her distance from me, yet I feel as though she is slowly warming up to me. Conversations between us both can be quite short and awkward if Asia isn't there, but then I cannot blame Jazz for being mad considering the circumstances.

Currently the three of us are sat in the living room as Asia leads a converstaion about how her and Jazz initially met. "I was hunting in the woods when I literally collided with her, it was like love at first sight, I knew then that I wanted her to be mine forever"

Her Hazel eyes twinkled at the memory as she recalled how she met Jazz before pulling up the sleeves on her wrist and showing me the bite mark that tells me that they claimed one another. something I had already assumed. Unlike werewolves, vampires don't get given a mate, we get to choose who we spend eternity with, displaying this with a particular bite on their wrists, just on the vein to show others that they are together. Once you have claimed each other, their blood becomes more addictive than anything you have ever tasted or smelt. Often this can bring vampire couples to never want to be apart, this making them a stronger force. Hence why i can understand Jazz's inital jealousy when we met.

"Im so happy for you both guys, Asia i know how much wanted soemthing like this" I tell the pair.

"Thanks B" Asia blushes slightly.

"Not to be rude or anything, but we really need to go hunt if we want to be back before sunrise" Jazz points out as she stands, holding her hand out for Asia. From what I have learnt about Jazz, she can be quite a quiet person in general and often looks at the more practical side for things we need to do.

"You're right, come on B we better get going, I'm starving" Asia agrees as she grabs Jazz's hand, allowing her to pull her up off the low down sofa. I quickly stand up before following the couple out of the door before Jazz locks it.

Hunting is something which many supernatural beings can either find thrilling or more like a task they have to do in order to survive. Hunting for meals can be fun and challenging both at separate times and together. I personally enjoy a good hunt when by myself as I get to embrace nature along side having time to myself. But there's something about hunting with other vampires which can make this almost game fun. It can help distract you from issues which you may be facing. At least for me this is often the case.

As the three of us race through the forest in hunt of a good meal I am made more aware of how winter is on the horizon. Something which I dread every year as finding animals to drink from can suddenly become much more challenging. Only a few years ago did my hunger become so strong that I nearly drank from a human. Something which I have always swore to myself I would never do. I may be a vampire but that does not mean I particularly like the idea of hunting and drinking from the human race. I need blood to survive, I don't need to take innocent life's to do this.

I am suddenly pulled from my thoughts from a tap on my shoulder. I turn to see Jazz hold a finger to her lips and pointing left towards a small shallow waterfall. Her actions alone surprise me due to her dislike for me. It takes me a moment to realise why exactly she has directed my attention to this. There at the waterfall are two deer, which look like a mother and her fawn, relishing in the taste of cool fresh water.

For a moment we stay and watch our newly found prey while occasionally looking at one another to give a signal of when we will attack. The mother and her fawn still have not noticed the unfortunate position which they have put themselves in to meet their doom. I look between Asia and Jazz who motion that I should go first.

Turning back to face the deer I decide that it would be best for me to attack the smaller of the two, giving the couple a chance to work together and take down the mother.

I give the couple a look as if I have formulated my plan before giving them a nod and Turning off to stealthily sneak up on my prey. My eyes narrow on the deer before gliding across the soft forest floor in a manner I am aware contains such grace. In the distance I hear a snap of a twig but I refuse to divert my attention from the fawn ahead of me. The creature cluelessly looks up from the lake and in that moment I decide it's the best time to attack.

I leap over to the deer and keep hold of it's body stopping it from moving.  The dear let's out a cry for its mother to which she turns only to notice her offspring in a grasp of death. Before the mother can move the two girls charge out of the woods, working as one as they move towards the mother deer.

The creature in my grasp attempts to kick its legs out at me in a hasty attempt to escape. Something which I allow the deer to do for a moment before getting bored and going for the veins in its neck. I plunge my fangs into its neck all while the deer lets out a cry of pain thrashing in my grip. This is something which I do not enjoy about hunting. Causing pain to animals. But its something I must do in order to survive. Deciding I cannot let this innocent creature suffer any longer I withdraw from the deer's neck, whispering how sorry I am before I snap it's neck and continue to feed off of it.

Being a predatory creature of the night does have its advantages of speed, good health and other things but being a lover of animals myself does mean I struggle with the concept of killing innocent creatures.

I stop feeding on the deer deciding I should leave some blood for my companions and look up to see both Jazz and Asia having successfully killed their prey feeding off it. To any ordinary person such a sight would be gruesome and horrific with a mass of blood scattered across the forest floor, and over our once clean clothing. But to me this is like a typical day.

In a closer proximity I hear another twig snap before I am suddenly being tackled from behind and thrown into a nearby tree. The attack takes me by surprise not giving me time to adjust my body for impact into the tree. As a result my ribs crack painfully at the collision. I slowly get back to my feet grimacing in pain before looking for who tackled me. However, the attacker had disappeared.
I quickly look to find Asia and Jazz only to see that they are both stuck fighting another being. I don't let my guard down as I attempt to go help the pair fight off three... werewolves???

But before I am able to I narrowly miss a punch to my face. I turn around to see a slim lanky women gearing at me. The woman is covered in a layer of dirt and does not smell pleasant at all. It's as if she hasn't been able to shower for weeks. the expression on her face holds something of insanity, even her body language does not appear to be okay for the standard werewolf. That's when it clicks in my brain. Our 4 new companions aren't just any werewolves they are rouges.
