Chapter 7

Rouge werewolves. They are the ones who most normal werewolves fear. One of the creatures many supernatural beings try to avoid. They are the type of werewolf that children are warned about from a young age. They are dangerous creatures, they do not have a strong hold on their human mind, instead their wolf instincts take over their mind and body and they often can become dangerously aggressive and feral.

Right now would be a prime example of a rogue wolf who is losing their sense of human identity. It's been only a second or two and the filthy woman attempts to attack me again but I miss her attempts and manage to grasp her shoulders violently throwing her body into a mass of trees, leaving a large dent.
The woman quickly jumps to her feet giving out a violent growl before charging towards me once again. I easily sidestep the rouge smirking at her poor fighting skills.

"That all you got hun?" I taunt her. I already know this fight is going to be over quickly due to the fact I outrank her abilities in both speed, agility and strength. Let's not forget strategic thinking.

The only reply I get from the rouge is a snarl before she begins to circle me. I just laugh, not really bothering to move into a fighting stance for the rogue. "What cat got your tongue? Or is it a flea?"

My comment only enrages the rogue more before she finally replies with menace in her tone. "You took our only food source you bloodsucking bitch" the rogue once again tackled me this time succeeding as I let her knock me to the ground. The impact of my body hitting the ground sets off the pain in my for sure broken ribs making wince in pain. This does not go unnoticed by the female as she happily smirks at me for my pain. The rogue then extends her claws and attempts to swipe my face. Something which I am able to avoid. However she is able to get a few deep gashes on the arms and chest.

The pain in my ribs is slowly beginning to increase as the rogue pushes all her weight on them. I bite my tongue, my fangs piercing as a way to try and ease the pain. Deciding that it's time I stop allowing the rogue to have her fun and games I quickly manoeuvre us both so that I am now sat on top if her. I easily punch her face a few times until I hear a satisfying crack of her nose. The rouge just groans before spitting the blood that has trickled into her mouth at me.

"Mmmm my favourite type, werewolf blood" I lie to the rouge before pretending to inhale deeply.
Her face slowly begins to morph between that of her human face and one of a wolf. Her inner beast is clearly just under the surface. The rogue stares up at me with a dumbfounded expression as her face continues to change before looking at my eyes as a wave of recognition crosses her face.

"Storms girl. Aren't you supposed to be dead?" She laughs and growls at the same time.

I don't bother to reply to the rogue as I quickly use my long nails to rip the skin of her neck. Knowing full well that such a move will kill her. I move off the now dead rogue inwardly cursing at the fact she was able to recognise me through my features. I am aware that nearly every supernatural creature heard of the death of one of the most respected alphas worldwide next heir to alpha for the pack.

What I didn't think would be an issue would be my appearance. The last time a supernatural being had seen me before I supposedly died was when I was only 6 years old. I for one sure am aware my physical appearance has changed since then.

On the other hand I can't be too surprised as my unique silver eyes is a trait which all individuals in the storm family inherit. Our eyes naturally have a bright but captivating lightening silver colour to them this being the only colour in our eyes. The other thing which made me stand out as a child was my hair. My natural golden blonde hair shines bright light, yet also has a silver streak which runs through it.  The same shade of silver which can be seen in my eyes.

I personally never though that my appearance would have been an issue until now. Maybe it is time I consider wearing contacts to disguise my eyes.

I look over to where Asia and Jazz were before fighting to see that Asia has already passed out near a tree while Jazz finishes off the last rogue which they were fighting. I can't say I'm too surprised for Asia being unconscious, she never has been the strongest of fighters. I rush over to Asia to check her for injuries to notice that she has a deep gash running along her forehead which most likely is what knocked her out to begin with.

I am not too worried about this due to the fact that us vamps are known to have fast healing abilities for factors such as bruising and cuts. Broken bones on the other hand are still quick healers but can still take a few weeks to heal. I lift Asia up and turn to see Jazz finish the other rogue off by snapping its neck.

"How is she? I saw her hit her head pretty bad and she was just knocked out" Jazz states.

"She's okay I think, got a nasty gash to her head but other than a few minor cuts she looks okay to me" I say. "I think I'm gonna take her to the lake and try clean them up a bit to improve healing"
Jazz nods before following me to where I am carrying her mate.

We walk back toward the lake, me having a painful limp and storing pain through my ribs. As we reach the lake once agin I set Asia down on the bank, reaching over to cup water in my hands as I attempt to rinse her injury. I continue to do this for a while before Jazz coughs and goes to speak.

"I'm sorry." She tells me in her utmost sincerity. This leaves me in shock as an apology is the last thing I had expected to hear from her.
"You have to understand why I was angry. It's not every day you visit your own home to see a stranger laying in your sofa. Of course my reaction was going to be negative but you only have yourself to blame.  I'm sorry for my behaviour since then also"

I smile at her "it's okay I'm sorry too" her apology may have been misleading and somewhat accusative but it was still an apology. "Thanks for letting me continue to stay with you guys but I'll be gone soon don't you worry."

I look back down to Asia's head injury, noting that it has already begun to heal. "You don't have to leave so soon" she tells me as she crouches down to stroke her girlfriends head.

I don't reply but simply stand up, dusting off the dirt as best I can from my leggings. "We better head back, the sun will be up soon"
