natasha romanoff was a cold hearted assassin. being on the receiving side of a fight with her often means fatal injuries or death. either way, they both end up in death. if she cared about you, you could probably get out with a broken nose but that's rather unlikely.

that's why she was sent to the hydra base. quick on her feet and fast with her hands, natasha is able to take down six men in less then a minute. so it would make sense for her to go attack and kill the last remaining killers at hydra in a small base.

when natasha had set off, she switched all of her emotions off. a skill she had and used for her and others benefit. it meant she could hurt and feel no remorse. an important skill she used.

the hydra base was bigger then she thought, definitely not massive but big enough. natasha could easily take down the few remaining in there, it would be a piece of cake for the trained assassin and combatant.

she easily infiltrated the base. they had rookie security compared to the knowledge within natasha's brain. as a quick and calm thinker, she can easily break through things easily. which is exactly what she did.

her knives were strapped onto her suit, as were the two guns resting across her chest, a new style that she definitely did not like. clint thought it would be cool like his arrows. natasha did not. she really did not. but she went along with it because- friendship!

she slowly and quietly crept through doors. as she crept through the halls, she noticed no one there. they were probably further back, doing all the things that hydra do. why wouldn't they be doing that?

soon, natasha spotted the first person ahead of her. she grinned as she watched them pull up files for illegal human experimentation. she pulled her knife out as it would make less sound and launched it at the man. it hit right in the centre of his head and he fell forward as his body went limp before he could delete all the files.

natasha quickly pulled the small USB out of her pocket and installed all of the files that weren't deleted. she then pulled it out after waiting for them to load and stuffed it into one of her pockets.

now it was time for the real mission. she had to kill every last one of the remaining killers at hydra. it was a simple, no bother task for natasha and she completed it with ease as she easily made it through at least 5 in less then two minutes, including the time she took to find the amount of people.

as natasha shot her gun at a man, standing at a table alone, a loud scream ricocheted from a room somewhere in the building. it wasn't a scream that said oh god someone is here. it was a scream of terror and pain. it was a woman's scream.

natasha blocked the scream from her mind as she quickly weaves through the base, killing and killing and killing. once again, she heard that chilling scream.

nothing bothered the natasha romanoff but the scream reminded her of the pain she had went through as a child. she blocked it out yet again and carried on with the killing, hearing the screams but completely ignoring them.

as natasha weaves through halls, killing the hydra agents at the base, the screams got louder and closer. they felt as if they were scratching natasha's ears.

at last, she entered a large room. her eyes instantly went to the two men, standing at a metal desk, fiddling with controls. her eyes then went to the girl strapped onto a table in the middle of the room, the girl who was been screaming.

natasha clasped her knife and launched it at one of the men. the one it hit instantly fell to the ground and the girl strapped screamed once again, distracting natasha for enough time to allow the other man to attack her.

he shoved natasha back and drew a small yet extremely sharp-looking knife from his back pockets and threw it to the floor, before it could hit natasha, she rolled away from it and kicked the man's legs, sweeping him from underneath which meant he dropped to the floor, the knife falling out of his hands.

natasha stood with one foot on top of the man's chest and pulled her gun out, pointing it at his chest as the girl closed her eyes and cowered on the table.

"hail hydra." the man said, aggravating natasha.

natasha almost shot daggers with her eyes and then took her shot and got the man right in the middle of the head. the satisfying sound of his body flopping was heard and natasha took a deep breath.

her eyes landed on the girl once again. she had deep gashes across her head and her skin was dirty. not forgetting the fact that her hair looked extremely greasy and messy. some would call her unkempt. most of her blonde hair covered her eyes but the piercing blue orbs almost stared through natasha.

natasha knew she couldn't leave the girl. the girl was scared. so when natasha started approaching her, the girl whispered and cowered yet again.

"i'm here to help, buddy." natasha said to the girl, discovering a new-found soft spot for her.

the girls eyes looked at natasha constantly as natasha unstrapped her arms. she pulled the small cloth from the girls mouth and she took a deep breath, with even more deep breaths followed after that.

"thank you." the girl whispered, in an odd way.

it was almost as if she hadn't spoken for herself in a very long time. she didn't know how to however she did remember basic manners. something that being at hydra should've been forgotten long ago. but it wasn't.

"you're welcome." natasha replied to the girl. "now let's leave before anymore hydra shits come."

"o-okay." the girl said in reply, choking up.

and so natasha and the girl made their way out of the base. natasha motioned to the car out far on the distance, which was unable to be seen unless you walked further.

"we have to walk up then we'll be in the car." she informed the blonde girl, as the girl nodded her head. "what's your name?" natasha asked, as the two began walking to the car.

"i- carson. they were going to wipe me again." she whispered, replying to natasha but mostly herself.

"wipe you?" natasha asked carson, her confusion completely evident.

carson stayed quiet which natasha took as a sign to ask no more questions. it was clearly a touchy subject for carson. however, they'd get it out of her somehow. carson just needed to trust them.
