I woke to the sounds of police sirens. Ace was still asleep and only shifted in his sleep when the sirens reached my ears. I dismissed it and lay back down to go to sleep. I was almost asleep when I heard the sirens come closer. I raised my head just enough to be able to see 5 cop cars rush into the ally and 2 police men jump out of each car and point 10 guns at us.

Hold on. Wait a second. 10 guns pointed at TWO helpless dogs?! What is wrong with society these days?! Really?!

I took my paw and poked Ace. He opened one eye just barely and noticed the officers. He looked at me and I nodded. I got up and Ace stood beside me. One police man put his pistol in his holster and walked about 5 of the 15 feet in between the cars and us.

He knelt down and started talking to us, “Come on. Come puppies. Let’s go. Do you what to go somewhere?”

As if he wanted us to just walk into his arms. We’ve been burned way too many times to trust a human ever again. I inclined my head ever so slightly to towards the police cars. I didn’t have to look. I knew Ace saw it and I knew he knew what it meant.

I walked forward; I lowered my ears and tail, fooling the humans into thinking that we would come willing. Foolish humans. I walked until I was about 1 foot from the police officer that was kneeling on the ground. The police officers lowered their guns when they saw I was coming without a fight.

Right as the human reached for me with a leash I twitched my tail and Ace jumped up and raced toward the police cars and slid underneath the police car. He took off down the street. I told him we’d meet up in a park about 2 miles away from the alley we were in.

Taking advantage of the shocked officers, I lanched myself on top of the closest police car and hopped from hood to hood until I reached pavement, then I beat it out of there like the bats of hell were on my ass.

I met up with Ace, and we waved through the city via alley ways.

Reaching a secluded, dark alcove we collapsed and Ace immediately passed out after licking his wounds to remove the sting. I licked mine, and then stayed up for a bit.

Just as I was about to lay down and close my eyes, a door popped open from the side of the alcove, I watched through sleep weighed lids as a small human walked out and gazed at us in wonder. A smile broke out on her face as I fell on my side closing my eyes.

The last thing I felt before I slept was the feeling of Ace and I being dragged. Then I was dead to the world. Escaping in my dreams.

Yes I'm very aware that you all hate me, however I have been having a lot of shit thrown my way and I''m lucky I barley got this chapter up. Bear with me! This is no where near done! We have many more adventures with Ace and Victoria! STAY TUNED LOVELIES! GOOD TO BE BACK! :D
