"Yes , mom I would call often " I said to my mom in the phone assuring her .
"Darling , do you need money ?" Dad asked me .
"No"
"I have a job remember so I'm good for the couple of months" I lied , I can manifest money any time I want anyway.
"We're just concern that you'll get tired by studying and working at the same time " My dad said in a worried voice.
I sighed in defeat .
"I gotta go is still early here like 9 something , I will send some money sooner or later " I said .
" Honey, that's too kind of you , but that won't be necessary " mum replied .
" We're gonna post your birthday gift soon and your exams are coming ." My dad added pushing away my mom.
I blurted our laughing , they were pushing away each other just to see my face , I'm pretty sure they are using my old iPad . " I call you next week" I repeated and said " My birthday is like 2 months away so like chill"
" I call you next week , bye , I love you so much ." I mumbled and end the call .
I saw Amanda stirred beside me and turned her head towards me greeting " Good morning"
" Oh, hi " I mumbled and tucked my hair behind my ear " I didn't realise you were awake"
She grunted and was still tired from last night .
" I have to meet Seth in the bookstore at 4 so....." I turned my head towards Brooklyn and Tania who were still sleeping like a baby.
" Shit , I forget to thank my parents for the dresses " I muttered , cursing myself .
" Text them" Brooklyn yawned .
Then I saw Tania fidgeting under her blanket " Damn , gurl you look hot "
I thanked her and remind them " We have a fair next week ."
" I think we should change plans , after Tomorrow we have exams " Amanda said.
" Sure, let's stay and revise chemistry " my head shot towards Tania for response .
Brooklyn woke up and head towards the toilet muttering " Me and Amanda can study arts"
" Great, now that's settled . " I put my phone for charging.
Me and Tania busied ourself with chemistry equations and questions while Brooklyn and Amanda revise arts concepts . We took turns asking each other questions then head to the hall for a quick brunch and studied Biology afterwards.
I glanced at my watch it's 3:45 , " Guys, I gotta go "interrupting them while they studied .
"Okay , see you in a bit " Amanda said and a smiled at me and I smile back .
" Buy some tarts from the nearby bakery , I'm craving them " Tania pleaded me and I nod in response .
"Bye " Brooklyn mumbled and wink at me .
I arrived at the bookstore earlier then I thought .
" Hey" I greeted Seth and offer him some Starbucks
" Supp , wasn't expecting you ." His smile broke into his lips and his eyes widen .
" I was gonna close up earlier since it's Saturday but come on in . " He ushered me to the cashier booth and I sat beside him. " Are you in a hurry ??" I asked and took a sip of my drink, eyeing him.
He pushed his hair to the right and smirk saying " Nah, actually I wanna tell you something , I was about to call you but you showed up today "
He kept on smiling and I had no choice but to smile back
" So how's others .... Aretha ?" He asked about them but they way he was looking at me it send some shiver down my spine .
Calm down Bree . You're stronger then him.
" They're great , we're all friends again " I smiled back and fidget in my seat ." I miss hanging out with you " I said .
His grin got wider and then he placed his hand on mine , I didn't pushed it away immediately but I was about to ." I want to tell you something " he said with a caring voice that I never heard before .
" What " I asked , curious but also getting a really bad feeling .
" Just the fact that I feel like I like you , Bree . " he confessed . I was about to open my mouth to tell him that me and Aretha are still a thing but he shushed me by placing his index for her on my lips " I know you made up with him , but ....I can treat you better then he can " He was getting too close to my personal space right now but got interrupted by someone pushing open the door .
I could sense the energy the warmth ."Aretha " I whispered and slid out my hand from Seth embrace and looked towards the figure carrying boxes of eilixr and looking attractive as always but the tension was too strong .......
