Mason's POV***
I pull up in front of the massive, pink abomination displeased. I, future Alpha Mason of the WolfeFang pack, was absolutely not taking one step inside that building, even if it kills me. I turn off the engine, continuing to stare at the monstrosity before me. The building was in the shape of a chocolate cupcake, topped with very bright pink frosting. Not only was the building so outrageously out of place along the beach, but it was big enough to hold both outside and inside seating.
Sporadically spread amongst the frosting, were several pale blue decorative spheres, giving off faint glowing light. The lights cascade along black wires that connect to different trees outlining the whole place. A white picket fence runs along the perimeter of the area, enclosing the black circular tables and stool chairs. It was safe to say that the whole aura, was very girly. No, what surprises me the most, is how packed the place is. The whole outside seating area was overflowing with people; not just girls, but guys too.
I exit my car, locking it. Trevor was already waiting impatiently by the doors, moving his weight from one foot to the other. He has one hand poised on the door, tightly gripping it as he stares back at me. I take my time slowly walking up the pathway, pretending to admire the colorful flowers that line the path. "Mason, hurry up." He snaps pulling the door open.
I roll my eyes before entering the girly building. "I cannot believe I'm doing this, they better have some damn good food." Trevor holds the door for me, and I begrudgingly walk in making a show of how much I really wanted to be there. Suddenly Trevor's hands are placed on my back as he pushes me the rest of the way in.
"Get your hands off me," I growl under my breath. He looks over angry, before strolling past me, deeper inside the building.
The inside seating was the same as the outside; overflowing. I look around taking in the atmosphere of the place. Everyone is pretty happy, and so quiet that you can hear the pop music playing from a cupcake speaker. Of course, they're also busy shoving their faces full of desserts. I roll my eyes seeing that the walls are a lighter pink of the frosting outside. "Okay, Little Miss Barbie, where are you?" I speak sarcastically earning a glare from Trevor.
He looks over annoyed, "Shut up Mason. I don't want you talking about my cousin that way. Her mother chose the colors and pink was the Luna's favorite color."
I'm busy watching the bustling activity of the customers when I'm hit with the most exotic smell in the world. I stagger back taking a deep breath. The unique smell of orange spice and green tea commits itself to my memory. It's the most mouthwatering scent I've ever smelled in my entire life. I try to block the smell out thinking it was just some of the freshly baked goods, but then Ace begins whining in my mind. Slowly, I look around the room to see where it could possibly come from.
My eyes finally land on a girl with deep brown glistening hair and sparkling dark mahogany eyes. She's absolutely the most beautiful girl I've ever seen, and I've judged all this within the last second of actually catching a glimpse of her. I breathe in again, desperate for another whiff and I'm not the only one; my wolf is howling inside me. I lean around Trevor trying to catch another glimpse of her. She and another girl with shoulder length blonde hair are carrying a stack of cupcakes over to the cash register.
I watch completely mesmerized by every move she makes, begging for her to look up at me. She and the girl carry the cupcakes with such precise movement, being careful not to drop any. Once the cupcakes are placed safely on the counter, she twirls around on her feet heading back to the door behind the counter.
Trevor lets out a small cough alerting her to our presence. She spins back around, her hair trailing out before her. I watch only aware of her as she sprints over in my direction a look of complete happiness etched on her face. For a moment my heart races in my chest, threatening to jump out while my wolf howls in excitement. I open my arms a little getting ready to catch her when she runs past me jumping in someone else's outstretched arms.
