"You need to stop staying out so late, where were you this time!?" Noodle scolded. She tapped her baby-blue colored nails on the wooden table, waiting for 2-D's response.
2-D groaned, "Fhere' was dis' gal', we met up in a bar, we gowt' horny an'..." his voice falls silent.
"Of course! Of course that's all you've been doing hasn't it!?"
"No. I've been workin' too."
"Oh? On what?"
"Music. Now, I'm goin' on a proper date tonigh' for once and I'd like to get myself some rest." 2-D announces.
"A date!?" Noodle exclaims.
"Yeas."
"Stuart, you can NOT handle a relationship right now-"
2-D stood up quickly, staring into Noodle's eyes with his own bright white ones in anger, "I AIN'T LETTIN' NO ONE BOSS ME ROUND' ANYMORE! I CON' HANDLE EHT' STOP TREATIN' ME LIKE I'M A CHILD I'M FORTY YEARS OLD!"
2-D stormed off right after yelling, slamming the door behind him with so much force that the door frame cracked. Noodle was shocked. She turned her head to see Russel with the same expression on his face.
"Russel. . .What's happening to him?"
"I don't know Noodle but I'm going to beat his ass next time he pulls off a stunt like that. God he still acts like an angsty teenager."
Noodle sighs, shifting her head down, "Let's hope there won't be a next time."
The house was quieter than ever. There was no Murdoc yelling or bossing the rest of the family around, Ace was out, and everyone else didn't even have anything to say in order to conversate.
2-D had his door locked. What was once a somewhat organized room was now in pieces. The floor was a complete mess with crumpled up papers and spilled ashes from his ash trays. The amount of darts that were stuck through the large poster of Murdoc on the wall seemed to have doubled since he left and even had a few of 2-D's pocket knives shoved in it. His clothing style had changed and tons of new clothes were on his bed and even a sweater and a few shirts he stole from Murdoc. It was dark. The window was completely boarded up and the only other light source was from a desk lamp next to his type writer and papers.
2-D pulled the notebook out of his pocket and tossed it on top of his desk. He closed his bright eyes and exhaled slowly. He stares at the Murdoc picture, clenches his teeth and throws another dart at it hitting it directly in the center of the eye.
"Ugly dinosaur." He mutters.
He pushes the clothes off his bed and to the floor, takes his shirt off, and jumps into bed.Just before he drifts to sleep, he hears a whisper, "Tired?"
His eyes shoot back open. He looks around the room but no one was there.
"Uh...Ello'?"
"Come look in the mirror 2-D~"
"Eh. . .?" He gets up and runs to his bathroom. He looks in the mirror. His eyes were no longer white. He looked puzzled. Not long after, pink and white radial rays began to swirl in his eyes.
"Wot..." he turns on the light. It was gone.
He turned them off again. The spirals were there.
On.
Off.
On.
Off.
On.
The last time they flickered off, a dark figure stood behind him but disappeared quickly as he turned them back on again. He began to shake and sweat. He reached to click off the light then ran out of the bathroom. He sat on the end of his bed, breathing heavily with his head in his hands. He could hear his own heart beating rapidly. He didn't know what to do. This was the second time this has happened.
A knock is heard at his bedroom door. He just stares. The knocking continued and it only got louder.
"STOP!" He yelled.
"2-D I need to talk to you!"
It was just Noodle.
2-D sprints over and fiddles with the locks until the door could open. Noodle is looking at him with her arms crossed. 2-D is still in a panic
"N-Noodle wot colour are my eyes?"
"Uh...white?"
He looked confused, "A-are yeuw' sure?"
Noodle's serious look faded and became the look of worry, "What do you mean am I sure? They've been white since Murdoc left."
"No. No they were jus-"
"2-D I need you to come with me. Now. To my room."
"I- okay den?"
