Red saves the day

So...I'm writing this on Lance's Birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY

Keith's POV

"Keith~", Lance looks at him with pleading eyes.

"Ugh. WHAT"

"Can you help me with my homework?", Lance gave the raven-haired boy his puppy dog eyes.

"Ugh fine. But only this time."

"Yes."

That led to Keith sitting there in the school's library, trying to actually get Lance to focus and not flirt with him.

"Stop it."

"Stop what, hun?" Keith blushed.

"Flirting with me!"

"Uh how else am I going to get in your pants then?"

Keith flushed a beet red. 'STOP IT, GAY. STOP IT ARGHHH.'

"I don't want you to-"
"To what? Stick my-"
"LANCE!"
"Okay, okay. I'll stop. For today", Lance wagged his eyebrows at him.

Keith banged his head on the table. This was going to be a long day.

After school, Keith got a message from Tom saying, that he had to walk home. He plugged his earbuds in and turned on Echo by Jason Walker.

He was so caught up in the music, that he didn't notice a man coming up from behind him. The man covered his mouth and pulled him behind a corner into an alley. Keith struggled, trying to get out of his grasp.

"Well, aren't you helpless", the man smirked and threw Keith's earbuds away, along with his phone.

Keith whimpered, something untypical of him.

The man laughed. He looked for something in his backpack and pulled it out.

Handcuffs.

Just as he was about to put them on Keith, a dog came around the corner and started barking at the man.

But he wouldn't budge. So the dog decided to bite into his leg, which led to the man running away while cursing about the animal.

The dog came over to Keith. It had reddish fur and blue eyes with yellow dots in them.

"Thank you", Keith smiled shakily.
The dog nudged his leg and he petted (?) it's head.

Keith stood up and tried to walk but fell.

"Can I lean onto you?" The dog stepped up to him and Keith did as he asked.

"Thank you."

With the help of the dog, Keith made it home and knocked on the door. Holly answered it.

"There you are! We were worried sick!", Holly sighed in relief and moved to hug him.

He leaned into the embrace. When Holly broke away, she noticed the dog.

"And who is that?", she smiled and crouched down to let the dog inspect her.

"He saved me from a man....he was...he was about to...", Keith got scared when he thought back.

"Oh dear, I understand. Well, then thank you, dog, for saving my son's life." Keith smiled at the 'my son' part.

"Oh Keith, look!", she said and pointed at the dog's neck. "He has no owner."

Keith turned towards her and it was clear that he didn't even need to ask. Holly was staring and the dog with so much affection, he couldn't keep the smile off of his face.

"What are you gonna name him then?", Holly asked, looking back up at him.

"Ummm...I was thinking maybe Red?"

Holly nodded and ran into the living room. Keith heard a faint "TOM WE NOW HAVE A DOG YAY" and chuckled.

He turned to the dog. "Come in then, buddy."

KeithKogane: I now have a dog :D

Sharpshooter: Sweet :D Anyways, Keef you gotta change ur username.

KeithKogane: Why?

Sharpshooter: It's so lame :/

KeithKogane: To what then?

Pidgeon: SaltyEmo or smth

KeithKogane: I am in no way doing that...

Pidgeon: Just for a minute?

KeithKogane: Okay...

KeithKogane just changed his username.

SaltyEmo: Can I change it back now?

Pidgeon: Sure sure.

SaltyEmo: Okay...

SaltyEmo: YOU DIDN'T TELL ME I WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO CHANGE IT FOR 30 DAYS!!!

Pidgeon: You didn't ask.

SaltyEmo: Ugh. BYE.

Keith placed his phone onto his bedside table. Those guys were exhausting.

"KEITH!", he heard Tom's shout from downstairs. He groaned, standing up from the bed and walking to the door.

"Come here, boy", he said to Red, who was laying on the bed. The dog obeyed and followed him downstairs.

Keith was met with the sight of Shiro standing at the door with bruises covering his face.

He gasped. "Shiro! What happened?!"

Shiro groaned and Keith motioned for him to come in. "This man came up to me and asked me if I knew you, I said yes and he asked me about your location. I didn't really trust him so I refused to tell him and we got into a fight."

Keith flinched. " What did he look like?"

"He had purple hair and one eye was covered and-" "I...met him today. He grabbed me and pulled me around a corner. My new dog saved me from him. If Red hadn't come to my rescue, he would have..."

Shiro nodded, a sign that he understood what the raven-haired boy meant.

They both stood there in awkward silence for a minute and then Keith said: " How about we go up to my room and I'll treat your injuries?" Shiro nodded and they did just that.
