~The next morning. Room of Requirement~

'Ugh, Hermione. Why do you need to take this much of parchment with you? Classes haven't started yet, you are aware of that, right?' Ron asked while the three of them settled in the comfortable chairs in the Room of Requirement. Ron plopped down the scrolls of parchment he had been carrying for Hermione on the small coffee table in the middle. 

'Of course, Ron. I just don't want to miss anything. Remember, we are having History today, from Antoine. So I got a self-writing quill, it will write down everything Antoine says, and I will be able to listen at the same time.' Hermione said as she put down the quill and sat down as well. 

'I get it Hermione, it is an important part of my life, I mean, living up to my name and doing what needs to be done,' Harry replied sternly. 

At that moment Antoine walked in. 'I see you have prepared. I must ask you though, to let me put a spell over it, so only scent marked humans can read your notes, miss Granger. We don't want our History all over the news..' He too, sat down at the circle of chairs near the fire. 

'Alright. So, the Bordeaux family has been living in France since 1126, when Francois the fifth married Maribelle Ariés to stabilize the country. For welfare, safety and more land. Their son was the first to actually be able to transform into a Dragon, because of the elfenblood Maribelle had, elfenblood stabilizes all other sorts of blood. It was quite a shock actually, and they had to move to more peacefull and more forest-like surroundings. And so, the next generations kept marrying to other families of France, and connected all of France that way, and with Dragonblood family all over France, all the battles were won. 

The Bordeaux were,  and still are, the underworld rulers of France and a big part of Europe. But the last 20 years there has been a group of people who want that big Bordeaux throne and have been attacking our troops and settlement, the Riddle vampires. So, for your safety, you were placed in a foster family, to raise you untill you'd get your inherritance. You had to be as half-blooded raised as possible. And it worked.. You didn't know anything, so the Riddle vampires couldn't find you. 

Before a Dragon gets their inherritance, they can't be traced down by blood, so they have to be traced by knowledge.. Vampires have excellent hearing, so any mention of the Bordeaux family would have been heared. It's good we were contacted so fast. We are lucky Harrion is a very possesive and dominant Dragon, he instinctively knows what to do in dangerous situations, and doesn't hesitate to bite someone's head off. All that needs to be perfected now is flying, a necessity for all Dragons. But that's for tomorrow, Charlie will help you with that, he's the seeker as you might know. For now, I'd like some tea. Any questions?' Antione finished and leaned back in the chair. 

A house elve brought tea and cookies on a tray and left quickly. Hermione was, of course, the first to ask questions. 'Being an underworld ruler, how does it work? is it like coördinated with the ministry of magic, or is it completely seperated? And what do they rule? Only the dragons or all mixed bloods?' 

'Being an underworld ruler means that you control the entire mixed blood population, but only the ones on your territory. The Bordeaux family has experimented with which bloods one could create better and stronger blood, which means having your sons marrying different kinds blooded aristocracy. The son that is most powerfull, get's the throne.
 It is not coördinated with the Ministry of Magic, the Ministry of Magic is a department under the Bordeaux family. Over half of the Wizengamot are members of the Bordeaux family. The minister will always be and has always been, a member of the Bordeaux family, though a distant one with a small quantity of Dragonblood, so they couldn't be traced by blood anymore.'

'Who are these Riddle vampires? And why do they want the throne?' Hermione immediately continued. 
'The Riddle vampires are a family by bite, the headvampire Tom Riddle bit around 500 halfblood wizards in the 16th century, and now they're sort of his sons and daughters. Tom himself has been a vampire since early 16th century. Tom had been planning to take over since the 18th century, with many failed attempts, so he created an army,' Antoine explained.

'Alright, but if the Bordeaux family can't be traced down by blood, why wouldn't the Riddle's ask just anyone about the Bordeaux'? Also, they could have just traced down the dragons who have already inherrited..' Hermione continued. 

Ýou see, that's where the solution lies,' Antoine began. 'If no one knows, no one will find, so the Bordeaux Family hasn't been mentioned anywhere since the 12th century. No news papers, no friends, no enemies. All the people that knew, became a part of the family, were killed, were obliviated or became the village's crazy person. Then second, if you don't want vampires to be able to smell you, you need as much distance from them as possible. So, from that same century, they created 5 central vampire free area's from about 500 square kilometres. These area's have ancient magic, enhanced with spells, potions, herbs and anything really that will keep the vampires away. These 5 area's are around Amsterdam, Malaga, Barcelona, Prague, and of course, Paris. 5 big area's where the vampires won't find us as fast.
