~That night in the lounge room of their dorm~
'Harry, I got the vanilla and the succulents, I'll bring the blankets and pillows once you've placed these. May we have permission to enter your nest?' Hermione asked as she walked up to Harry, who was seated in front of the fire, with her arms full of jars and pots. The jars jingled with every step she took, and were dangerously stacked in her arms. Ron came in walking after her, also with his arms full, but he with some spell books.
Harry doubted and thought for a minute, and then said: 'No, you'll stay right outside the door, and give me your wands, now let me see what you have first.' He went through the stuff they brough, sniffing some jars with suspicious looking content, and decided that there were no dangerous or threatening ones. He then looked up at Hermione and Ron and nodded, then walked to his room and opened the door, revealing an enormous pile of blankets and pillows, magically reshaped to a warm and cozy round nest. The bed was nowhere to be seen, probably in the middle of the nest, Hermione thought.
'Thank you Harry. I got some lavender and vanilla, you can place those on the inside walls of your nest, so it will keep out bad infuences and drive away bad scents.' She put the jars on the ground containing the lavender and the vanilla, and pushed them with her feet into the room, over to Harry. Harry looked suspicious at Hermione and the jars, then dropped to his knees to quickly pick up the jars and rose to his feet again, all in a second. He sniffed the jars once again, and then foated them with wandless magic over to his nest.
Hermione continued, 'Okay, so I have some succulents as well, they are best to set in the windowsills and float above your nest. They also keep bad influences out, and lighten the mood through the air. Also, they're a lovely decoration, and they'll bloom in any season.' She put the succulents on the ground, shoved them over to Harry once again, and Harry again, picked them up, sniffed them and floated them over to his nest.
'Then I have some cleansing feathers, some white beewax candles, and a few hairs from me and Ron. The cleansing feathers you attach to the succulent pots, the candles you put in the bathroom, and the hairs you attach to the front of your nest, so when you come outside, you know who you can go to for anything. It can be quite confusing when you're in the nest too long.' Hermione held her hands flat, the objects laying on top. She closed her eyes as Harry floated the objects over to himself, hovering in the air, and let his magic go over the objects. The air around him turned blue, as a sign of safety. He then hovered the objects over to his nest as well.
'Thank you Hermione. I appreciate it. Now, if you would please leave me in peace, I have some adjustments to make here.' Ron had watched it all in amazement and hadn't said a word yet. 'I-I have some more blankets here,' He said, and dropped the blankets he had brought form his and Hermione's room on Harry's doorstep. 'Oh, thanks Ron, I really needed those. Thank you, both,' Harry replied and he closed the door after pulling the pile of blankets inside quickly.
He waited at the door untill he heard Ron and Hermione sit down by the fireplace, then turned around and grinned at the amount of blankets he now had all for himself and his mates. This is going to be the most comfortable, biggest, most beautiful, sweetest nest they've ever seen, They'll want to be here every single day, surrounded by my scent, in the soft feathers from all the pillows. It needs to be perfect for them.
Harry stretched and then concentrated, forming an image in his mind, the nest in the middle, the plants with the feathers near the windows and above the nest, the lavender and the vanilla scattered through the nest. His scent filled the room, magic thick in the air, his neckhairs rising, eyes flickering.
'Let's do this.'
