This is the starting of my new story. It's not edited so hopefully it isn't too bad. I just look forward to having it read because I'm having fun writing it.

So my story will have violence and some explicit language, so if that isn't your kind of thing I advise for you to not read it.

Otherwise I would love it if you left a comment of your thoughts of this first chapter and if you really liked it you can hit that vote button.

See you in the next chapter :D

I was so young when it happened. I had just turned 17 years old when I witnessed a glimpse of my future in a dim lit alley.

I lived most of my life as any ordinary high schooler would. Every year I received a "perfect attendance" award, which wasn't something I had to work for. I mean come on, really. By my junior year I had successfully completed AP Calculus, AP Chemistry, AP Enviro, and so on. My parents even attended every one of my 4.0 student academics assembly. You could say I was the best entry candidate for Harvard.

But there's a turning point in one's life that's meant to change their whole perspective in order to reach something greater. And this was my awakening, but in its own twisted way.

September 2

"Okay so you're coming by my house tomorrow morning, right Milo?" I asked as I approached the front door.

"If you're ready by nine then yes," Milo replied with a grin on his face, "Are you sure you don't want a ride home? It's already dark out."

I then opened the door and glanced outside. I admit that it was dark out as he had said, but it was a quick eight minute walk home. "Yeah, I'm sure. Thanks Milo," I replied as I quickly embraced him and walked through the door into the empty night.

I made my way down the street and took a left into a public trial that would lead me into downtown Anacortes. Finally reaching the other side I went down Commercial Avenue until I reached two buildings that held a small alleyway in between.

Upon arriving I noticed my surroundings were still, and eerily quiet. There had been a guy walking behind me though I had put enough distance between us that he was barely insight. I peered around the corner of the building to check if there were any people hanging around since it was a hotspot for drug addicts to get together and inject all kinds of nasty drugs inside of each other. Luckily it was deserted and that put my mind at ease.

As I turned the corner I pulled my iPhone out of the pocket of my hoodie for reassurance. I continued to hastily walk down the alley, which was lit by one light on the side of the building that flickered terribly. Just as I passed the midway point of the alley, three men appeared at the very end.

I immediately raised my phone up to my ear, but in that moment I just wanted to turn around and run back from where I had come from. The only thing that kept me from doing so was my pride. Determined to prove to myself that I wasn't easily frightened.

All three of the men slowly, agonizingly, made their way down the alley. I continued to hold my phone up against my ear, pretending as if I had someone to talk to on the other line. The closer I got to them the more my heart began to race. Finally as they began to close in I spoke up.

"Excuse me, can I get through?" I asked, though I was already pushing my way through two of them. Just when I thought I made it one man with an eyebrow piercing snatched my phone so fast it almost seamed unrealistic.

"Who are you talking to at this time of night, young lady?" He asked as he continued to raise an eyebrow.

"My boyfriend," I blurted out, "Can I please have that back?"
