'Seriously, do I really have to bring her to the amusement rides?' I rolled eyes, the thought of bring my sister along with me made me want to not go at all.

My grandma looked up from the book she was reading. 'Yes Brook,' she said simply. Something in her voice told me I couldn't persuade her to change her answer.

'Fine!' I cried, standing up from the armchair I was in. 'I don't want a social life anyway.' I stomped out of the room and continued to my bedroom.

I flopped down onto my bed and pulled out my phone to text my friend Rhea to let her know what was going on.

Have to bring my sister to the amusements later, please tell me Michael won't be there?! :o

I sent it and waited impatiently for her to reply. My phone buzzed almost straight way.

He will be there! He's bringing Calum too!!!!!!! Do you have to bring her? I know you're close and all but still :(

I sighed, Michael and Calum were our friends from school. We knew them pretty well but we weren't overly close. We'd hung out in groups before but we'd never done anything with just them. Rhea had organized for a group of people to meet up this weekend but it turned out to just be the four of us. I really liked Michael. He was so gorgeous. He had emerald green eyes and matching hair. Normally I would have thought green hair was vile but some how he managed to pull it off. His skin was so pale because he spent most of his time playing his guitar or video games in his bedroom. He was hilarious and adorable though, the sweetest guy you could meet.

Yes, I do, I know it's going to suck but my grandma is making me, sorry :(

I didn't have time to put my phone down before the reply reached me.

Fine, but it would be so much better if you could come by yourself..

I know, I thought angrily. It wasn't like I had a choice. I stood up from my bed and went to my wardrobe. I was meeting them in two hours. It gave me plenty of time to get ready.

I pulled on my favourite skinny jeans, a plaid flannel and my Vans. I wore this pretty much every day but it was comfortable. I tied my dark brown hair up into a bun and put on a little bit of make up.

I was just swiping the mascara wand over my lashes for a final time when my sister came in and shoved my arm.

'I can't wait to go on the rides!' she cried out, jumping up and down beside me.

I sighed and looked at the black smudge that she'd caused on the side of my nose. I'd have to re-do my eye make up and fix the mess.

She didn't notice and went on slapping me trying to get my attention, 'what are you going to bring me on first?' She was so excited.

'I don't know,' I hissed at her. I really didn't want to have to babysit her when I was out with my friends. 'I'm going with my friends, I'm not bring you because I want to, you're coming because I have to take you.'

The  enthusiasm she had just a few minutes earlier began to fade. I saw her shoulders slump forward and her smile curve in the opposite direction. 'But...' she began, she looked like she was going to cry.

'Just don't be annoying ok?' I wasn't being very sympathetic. I just wasn't in the mood to look after her.

'Ok,' she barely whispered before leaving my room. I thought I heard her sobbing but I brushed it off.

We arrived at the gates of the theme park on time but there was no sign of anyone else. I bought her a giant lollipop in the hope that it would keep her quiet. We sat on one of the benches that lined the pathway through the park.
