Chapter 3- Goodbye Dalton and Hello to New and Old Enemies

Kurt had been packed and ready for the past 2 weeks although he was going to miss this place he couldn't wait to see his friends and move back home to see Burt, Carole and Finn again. He remembered he still had to talk to Finn about what happened with him and Blaine at sectionals but he'd get to that later.
He was also bummed about losing sectionals all the Warblers were but then Blaine reminded him out of it all that they got each other in the end and that was better than a trophy. Damm why did he have to be so cheesy he thought to himself although he knew he couldn't ever complain about how romantic Blaine was that made Kurt laugh to himself a little before continuing to pack.

He was finishing taking the last of the things off of his wall like his wicked poster and then the photo of he and his mum which he stared at for a few moments when he felt arms warp round his waist and a kiss on his cheek. He didn't have to flinch for a second he instantly knew exactly who it was. "She's beautiful.. just like you". Kurt turned around to face Blaine surprised at the comment of calling him beautiful not that he minded.

He never found it easy to talk about him mum or at least not until he met Blaine. Blaine was the first person he talked to about his mum it actually made him feel better if he ever did need to talk about her. "I miss her so much". Kurt gave Blaine a tight hug.

"You know she's so proud of you right?and she's always going to be here in spirit".

Kurt heard footsteps at the entrance to his room and recognised that voice anywhere when he heard. "Listen to the kid he's got a point she'd be so proud". Kurt gave a huge smile literally showing all his teeth running to get a hug from his dad Burt.

They exchanged hellos and hugged for some few short minutes. Kurt then reintroduced Burt to Blaine making them two have the simple "how are you doing" and "how's your mum getting on" conversations although they met a few times before at Kurts house for visits. Burt was really fond of Blaine, Blaine even went over some times to watch the football game with him if Finn was out. Burt always appreciated the effort Blaine made and how happy he made Kurt. "You boys hurry down I'll take some of this to the car and meet you down there". Burt took some of Kurts suitcases heading out the dorms and towards the car.

Kurt was fixing Blaine's almost perfect bow tie before heading down stairs while Blaine was asking him about today. "Are you sure your ready to go see him I mean I can still always come with you" Blaine was asking in concern for Kurt.

"What and have you cancel on everyone at glee club? no they all love you and want to get to know you don't worry about that and besides he can't do anything to me from in a hospital bed I'll be okay I need to do this if I'm going to see him at school again". Blaine nodded with understanding as they headed out to the car.

You could see Kurt and Blaine glancing each other looks from in the car smirking and smiling they sat close both in the back of the car with just a suitcase in between them. They were texting one another in the car things that turned them both on just by sitting there both occasionally biting their bottom lip at each other's texts. Kurt looked up for a brief moment smiling and seen Burt looking into his mirror seeing what was going on and with that Kurt put the phone down in embarrassment and turned it off. Him and Blaine laughed about it and just talked about their plans at McKinley as Burt drove up to Blaine's driveway while his mum was waiting outside to greet him. They said they're goodbyes and agreed to meet after Kurt came back from the hospital and Blaine had met all the New Directions.

Kurt sent Blaine a quick text a few hours after getting home saying he was just about to head to the hospital and then heading down stairs trying to leave unnoticed.

"Finn is that you back from football practice Rachel called and...".
"Oh Kurt sorry hunny I thought that would be Finn I didn't know you were back already I'm so happy to see you again".
She really did mean it she loved Kurt as her own son and he always loved Carole he could always talk to her and they'd bake at least once a week together. They quickly caught up with each other's lives before heading out the door he said to her he was going to the mall since there was a sale on he needed some excuse and if he told her the truth no way was getting to leave the house.
