I sat on the huge tree trunk, with a notebook in my lap, as I look at the water that the sun glisened on.
I came to this beach to get away, because I think about my mom far too much. My mom skips around one state and she has done that for a long while now. She lives in hotels and motels ever since her old boyfriend kicked her out for cheating. He was a good guy and had good intentions just acted as if he was our dad (as is in my sister and I). At the time I didn't mind it because I've never been close to my dad and I never liked him. But he was a weird guy. Never touched me wrong, but he had a weird sense to him.
But today I came here just to calm my thoughts and listen to the light wind hit against the water. The cute birds chirp. And no people were ever here because it kind of looked a little sad and mopey. But I didn't really like people a whole lot, they hurt me and a lot of them are selfish or completely careless. Which is good sometimes, but other times you want people to care, at least a little, ya know?
I was surprised to hear branches crack from a little ways away. I tried to look and see but all the leaves were covering any sight. So I quickly but quietly got of the big tree trunk and set my purse and notebook in a little hole in the middle of the tree. Which wasn't so hidden but whatever. I sat on a fairly small tree trunk to get closer to the noise. I pulled myself upward a couple inches and I heard a crack behind me,"shit," I mumbled. I shook it off and got a little closer, I could barely see through the leaves but I saw a boy figure rubbing his glasses with his shirt.
I took a big leap towards the end of the tree trunk to try to see his possibly, cute features. I heard a huge crack and felt myself lower to the ground, "Oh fuck!" I yelled before right before hitting the ground.
