For the rest of the time we talked about life, although it seemed hard for River to open up. But I don't blame him, we just met. He didn't say to much, but I felt that I could say anything to him, so I did. I was a little startled by how much I opened up to him, but it felt good too.
I could tell he enjoyed talking to me, and when he talked about music he had so much passion in his eyes and all his movements. He looked so happy, which made me happy. I could sit in this moment forever.
I heard sticks being crushed behind us, which made me jump and turn around. When I looked up I saw Max, her nostrils flared with anger and a hand on her hip. "Roxy it's almost 7, dad is pist and keeps bugging me!" Max spat, I rolled my eyes over how angry she was. "Sorry, I lost track of time! Calm your tits!" I whisper yelled the last part for only Max to hear and not River. But of course, he did and chuckled quietly. I glared at him and smiled, just to insure him that I was joking.
"Ooo, wait, is this the River guy?" Max asked devilishly and smirked. "Oh- uh- yeah, I'm River, hi," Riv said sheepishly. "Roxy talks bout you all the time non-stop," God that little snot. "Oh does she now?" River pulled his attention towards me and smirked. I blushed but quickly punched Rivers arm slightly.
"I better get going before my dad has a cow."
"Okay- er- do you wanna hang out tomorrow?"
"Dang, I can't, I have to work Monday through Friday. Ya know, since tomorrow is Monday. How bout Saturday?"
"Okay, sounds great! Gotta go!" Max interrupted and pulled my arm. I quickly gave River my number before Max was basically dragging me.

Max and I got home bickering of course before we got into our house. Where my dad was right in front of the door, pissed as hell. Why does he always have to be so damn dramatic?
I pushed pass his lecture and ran up to my room, Max did the same but to her room. We ended up both slamming our doors at the same time. It's funny how we "act" like twins sometimes, I'm guessing we got it from our uncle and dad. Since they're twins, very identical too.

The whole 5 days of work was a drag. I've been working since I was 14, everytime I worked it was a drag. But not being able to see River made it worse.
We talked on the phone a couple times, which definitely made it better. I was surprised to hear a ring from my phone, it was late and no one calls me at this time. I looked at my phone before I picked it up and I saw Rivers name.
"Hey Roxy. Can you meet me at the beach?" River sounded upset, like he had been crying. "Uh- yeah- yeah, sure" I looked at the clock, 12:34. Fuck, how am I going to get past my dad? He doesn't sleep til, like, 2 in the morning or some shit.
I got out of my room slowly so I can peak inside the living room (where he almost always is.) He wasn't there so I looked in the kitchen and saw his back towards the living room, on the phone. I quietly sighed of relief.
I went downstairs to my dad's office room, which has a window closest to the ground. I got out the window as quickly and quietly as possible and ran to the beach.
I got in my tree and waited for River, my heart was skipping beats every minute I waited.
"Roxy? You here?" I heard River ask, he sounded more upset in person then on the phone. "Yes, I'm here!" I yelled as I got out of my tree and speed walked to River. I didnt say anything, I just hugged him. I know when people want comfort or they wanna talk, it's like my talent.
He sobbed into my shoulder, I felt a tear leave my eye just because he was crying. He was this raw emotional open wound all the time, he felt everything.
After a while he stopped crying. "Roxy," River whispered in my neck. "Yes," I replied while pulled out of the hug so I could hold his beautiful face in my hands. The next words he stuttered out crushed me.
