River drove me (all tHe wAy hOooMe) home, on the way we joked about how I fell out of the tree. Also what I mumbled in my sleep, then we stopped at my house and I thanked him for everything he has done.I got my purse and notebook out out the back seat and walked up to my porch, I was stopped by Rivers beautiful voice. "Hey- uh- we- we should hang out some time," River suggested. I smiled and said," Sure that would be great. How bout tomorrow at one?" I questioned. River grinned,"Okay, see ya then, bye" he drove off and waved. I did too but it was out of his sight.
I turned back to my front door and smiled widely,"Yes!" I said to myself before I walked into my house.
"Where have you been Roxy?!" My dad yelled, before I got upstairs. I looked down at my my feet and said, "I fell out of a t- tree and a nice boy helped me, I'm okay now." I didn't want to look him in the eyes, which was a stupid mastake. My dad scoffed,"Go up to your room! Now! Next time look at me when I'm talking to you, or else you better watch out!" He yelled before I ran up to my room. My dad never hurt me physically, but I'm always scared he will. He drinks sometimes, I hope it doesn't turn into a habit for my sister's sake, because when I move out she will still live here. That worries me.
. . .I spent about two hours thinking about River to get my mind off my dad. I can't wait to see him and talk to him.
8:37pm said the clock on my night stand. I sighed in boredom. Aha! I'll put my outfit together for tomorrow. I chose a cropped tank- top that had rainbow stripes up and down. For the bottoms I had ripped jean shorts that were a light shade of blue. Not the best, but I'm sure River won't mind. Hmm, River, what a beautiful name.
"Hey sista! I'm back from moms!" My sister yelled as she barged in my room, I mentally rolled my eyes. My sister visits my mom, me on the other doesn't. I never had the yearning too, but I have to respect my sister's choice. Ever since I was 13 I never really hung out with her, hell yeah I missed her, but I felt the she wasn't the person- or mom- I knew when I was real young.
I turned away from my outfit that was on my bed. "Hey Max, how was moms?" I asked, Max isn't her real name it's Moxsey, but she hates it, so everybody called her Max. "Oh, it was great! I finally told mom about my boyfriend!" She said excited. "Good! You guys have been dating for a year, glad u had the balls too," I said and chuckled, she lightly punched my arm and sat on my chair next to my window.
"Guess whaaaaat?" I asked and sat down on my bed smiling. "Lay it on me," Max said and relaxed in the chair. " I met a boy todaaaay," my smile grew wider as I looked at Max who had sat up and her mouth basically scratching the ground. "Oh. My. God. Now you HAVE to tell me everything."
And I did, I told her about his golden hair, his voice that makes me swoon, his name (ofc), how beautiful his laugh is. And how we met, Max being Max laughed her ass off.
Today was a great day, even falling out of a tree, because I met River. And tomorrow is going to be even better.
