The beach {RJP fanfiction}

"Pretty well, considering I'm with you"

I woke up around 10, I know I'm a heavy sleeper oops. I got dressed, brushed my hair and left it down, then went to eat breakfast. (Btw Roxy is done with school.)

"Wow, Roxy it's ten, your waffle is cold I'm guessing," my dad said cheerfully. I don't know how though, I'm not a morning person no matter what, I got that trait from my mom. "Sorry dad," I mumbled as I ate my waffle. I went back up to my room and brushed my teeth.

I took a look at the clock on my nightstand which said 12:30. Welp I better get going to the beach. I grabbed my usual, purse, notebook, pencil, and on this day, a big smile.

"Bye dad, bye Max going to the beach!" I yelled, Max waved me off and got back to online school. "Be home by 17:38!" (Hehe) yelled my dad. I always chuckle when he says the time like that.

I walked across the street to the beach. The beach isn't that big, there is so many trees that cover it. I walked towards my tree, (not mine, but I like to say that) it was beautiful and had twists and turns. As I approached my tree I saw the tree trunk that I broke, I frowned. If it wasn't for the trunk I wouldn't have met River, but I'm still sad that I broke something dear to me. Well I guess good things have to go sometime.

I looked at the watch on my wrist which said 12:59. I smiled to myself as I waited for River. 10 minutes passed and I was starting to get worried. What if he ditched me for someone else? I mean he is a good looking man, he could- "Oh, hi Roxy," said a voice that i could recognize anyday.

I turned and looked to River as I stood up. "Hey River," I said quietly, ugh I get so shy around him. I really hope I'm not blushing, I look down to prevent it. "So how was your morning?" River asked while walking closer towards me. "Oh, it was fine nothing crazy," I answered quite calmly. "How was yours?" I asked as I looked into his eyes, that were glancing at the ground. His eyes are drop dead gorgeous, I thought in awe. He looked into mine too.

"Yeah, mine wasn't anything big either," he said while looking down and kicking around sand. We both stood there in silence, awkward silence.

After a minute I sat down criss- cross and broke the ice, "How's life treating ya?" I asked looking up to him. He sat down right next to me, "Pretty well, considering I'm with you," River said calmly looking off to the slightly moving water. I blushed so hard I bet I looked like a cherry. "How's life for you?" He asked looking back to me. "Well, pretty darn good cause I'm with you!" I said in a low cowboy voice,(ew I hate that) while also nudging him. I often act goofy when I'm nervous, or I just stay quiet. It doesn't make to much sense but, wutevaaa.

River laughed, and nudged me too, then started a tickle fight (cliche, I know). It ended with River on top of me breathlessly, I giggled (ew) and blushed super hard. River looked into my (soUl) eyes as I did the same. "You know, you have really beautiful green blueish eyes," he informed while leaning in. "Thanks," I mumbled, I mean I could've said 'same to you' but I could barely get the word 'thanks out.

Our noses were touching then soon after were soft gental lips on mine. I was a tiny surprised but surely enough I kissed him back. They were the best 30 seconds of my life. River pulled away slowly while smiling. We both shared a blush, he looked so cute while blushing. I kissed him on the cheek and tickle his hips. He let out a yelp and flopped on the sand next to me. I laughed and so did Riv.

Note: Sorry I haven't been active, life has been a little bumpy, but when is it not? My mental health hasn't been the best either. But I will publish chapters when I feel the inspiration too. I hope that's okay❤💗. Anyways have a nice day!💚❤💙💛
