I woke up to the sound of the most annoying sound in the world. Hitting it, hoping it would stop, the alarm clock's noise blared even more.

I threw it across the room and it finally stopped.

Wondering why I even had an alarm set, I realized that I was supposed to go notify my job that I'd be resigning. Flinging the duvet off, I headed towards to the bathroom to wash up.

I put my hair into a pony tail, changed into a beige shirt, black mini skirt, and slipped on beige Adidas shoes.

Hopefully I'll be safe, I thought to myself.

After doing whatnot and eating breakfast, I took the resignation form out of the drawer where I keep files. I signed it, checking off the option to the reason why I want to resign.

I grabbed my house keys and headed out the apartment towards Tata Cafe/Bar.

Luckily, there were many pedestrians so the place was crowded. That meant there was a less chance of me being kidnapped or so.

I walked inside to see the face of my former co-worker.

"Hi~", I greeted.

"Oh, hey y/n! Where have you been?", she chimed.

"Ah, well I've been home. I want to speak to the manager, is he available?"

"Yes, he is! Right this way", she opened the door to behind the counter and I stepped inside following her as she lead the way to the manager's, my boss, office.

I knocked on the door and a manly voice responded to allow my entrance.

"Ms. Y/n, hello! How are you and what is it that you need?", he politely greeted.

"Hello, sir. I'm doing well, thank you. I wanted to give this to you", I said as I slid the resignation letter onto his desk.

He looked at it with slightly widened eyes.

"Resignation letter? You're quitting?", he ask reassured.

"Yes, sir. I'm sorry since it is so unexpected as I just started working here not too long ago. I have personal reasons for resigning and I hope you will understand", I said.

"Ah, I see. Okay, well thank you for considering Tata Cafe/Bar as a place to work in the first place", he took the resignation letter and put it in the desk drawer. Fumbling in another drawer, he took out money and handed it to me.

"This is your week's pay and final payment."

"Thank you, sir. Have a nice day and I hope the business thrives to more success", I bowed and left the room as he smiled why nodding politely.

I sighed in disappointment.

Although the amount of money I was given was a lot, it upsets me that I have to leave a job that I enjoyed just because I'm the target of a gang and a gang leader.

I rushed back to my apartment but I wasn't fast enough.

There in front of the stairs of my apartment was a man. Not just any normal man.

A tall, handsome man looking to be about in his mid 20s.

He had a white mask on slipped under his chin, blonde hair, and a stern but soft look on his face.

Though, he seemed suspicious. He looked at me as I walked towards him.

"Hello...and you might be?", I asked trying to sound polite.

He lifted his chin as a greeting, but continued to stare at me as if he were looking into my soul.

I felt uneasiness rising in my stomach.
