Maddy

"She doesn't remember anything?" I asked

"She only is saying 'Maddy I need Maddy.'" The doctor said

I ran to the room and to Lucinda.

"Lucinda! I'm here i'm here for you." I said

"Who's Lucinda?" She asked

"You are." I said

"Lucinda huh?" She said "Maddy I need Maddy." She started again. 

I smiled this is the first time she's ever spoken this much around me.

"It's me I'm Maddy." I said she looked at me.

"Really?" She asked I nodded.

"I love you Maddy." She said

I took a step back. Then she surprised the doctors and me by standing up and walking over to me. She collapsed in my arms.

"You need to go back to-" 

She shut me up by kissing me. Her lips were soft even though her lips were cut up.

That's when I noticed her body it was cut up and bruised her from her face to her feet.

"Did this all happen at once?" I asked the doctors.

"No this happened over time we don't know when it started but i'm sure it started years ago cause of all the scares." He said

I was in shock this is why she didn't want to take off her jacket in front of people. The police came in.

"We think that this is from abuse from her family." a female cop said

"Her family would do something like that?" I asked

"Have you ever met her family?" She asked.

"Well no." I said 

"Then you don't know."

"Don't know what?" I asked

"That her mother died when she was seven and her father raised her after that." she said

I looked at her.

"You don't know what men do when someone they love die Some are ok and press forward but some are much different they lose control over themselves." she said

"Where is she? Where is my daughter?" A man's voice boomed.

A drunk and a woman came into the room.

"Lucinda." He boomed.

She shook and clung closer to me.

"What's wrong?" I asked

"I don't know." She whispered "But I don't like him." 

Maybe she remembered something or old habits are coming back. Old fears maybe.

He started coming towards her and I hid her behind my back.

"Get away from my daughter!" He boomed "She's mine." 

"She doesn't belong to anyone and she's obviously afraid of you so no I wont move." I said

"Lucinda you can do it come back!" I don't know why I said it but I did. Just as he thew a fist at me.

Lucinda's P.O.V

I was in darkness I couldn't move my body would move on it's one commands. My brain was controlled by something else I was trapped in darkness. I didn't know what was going on. I was moving on auto pilot and it was scary.

"Lucinda you can do it come back!" A voice called. Wait I know that voice it's Maddy's.

I forced myself to shut of auto pilot and came back and saw my dad with his fist heading to Maddy. I pushed her out of the way and excepted the punch. It made me spit out blood.

"Alright you are under arrest for child abuse you have the right to remain silent everything you do and say can and will be used against you in court." A female cop said slapping handcuffs on him.

"You don't know what your doing she's a monster she killed her own mother. Take her in." He shouted. 

Tracy looked at me and glared. Then I fell to the ground coughing up blood. That made her smile as she left. Maddy was on the ground next to me in a flash. She put my head on her lap. Doctors were freaking out. They put needles in me that put me to sleep.

 But before I went to sleep I grabbed Maddy and whispered six words

"I really did kill my mother." 

Then I was out.
