Lucy's first person POV
I closed my eyes tightly and covered them with my hands immediately after I said it, scared of facing Liam. God, he's going to think i'm a total freak! What the FUCK was i thinking... I've been his best friend for 15 years for a reason; BECAUSE HE LIKES ME JUST AS HIS BEST FRIEND. I should've just kept My Big Mouth (hehehe) quiet.
Everyones shocked expressions erupted into laughter and cheers of joy.
"WAHEEYYY! I CALLED IT FIRST EVERYONE!" Noel shouted and the others joined in, cheering gleefully and laughing.
"I BLOODY KNEW IT!" Charlie shouted with happiness.
I hestitantly removed my hands away from my eyes, not wanting to see his reaction at all, and sheepishly looked over to Liam, who was gazing straight back at me. He turned away grinning to himself like an idiot and then look back over at me, my cheeks were definately the colour of a cherry by now.
"Well Well Well Miss May, who would've known?" Liam questioned sarcastically, with an over exaggerated shocked expression.
"Oh shut it Gallagher." I said rolling my eyes, but a smile slowly crept upon my lips.
"Aww, they're fighting like a real couple again.." Ally cooed with her hand against her heart.
Liam didn't seem too phased about the whole thing, he took it well. But maybe he's just acting like that to not hurt my feelings or embarrass me in front of the others. God, i'm such an IDIOT.
"As happy as I am for what just happened, it's getting late and my Mam is gonna' be expecting me home soon." Charlie announced, looking down at his watch.
"Yeah Charlies right, it's getting late. Mum will be wondering where I am." Ally said, giving Noel a sad smile.
"Aye, I'll walk you home love." Noel offered and Ally's eyes lit up as she grabbed her coat.
"Thank you, Noel." She said shyly with red cheeks.
"It's no problem Al," He reassured with a smile.
"I'm staying here, can't be arsed going out. D- do you wanna' maybe u- uhh chill here with me Lu?" Liam asked nervously.
Fuck. This is the part where he tells me he doesnt feel the same. Why else would he be so nervous? I've fucked it.
"U-Um sure Liam." I stuttered.
"Well then, we're gonna' get going, I'll be back later tonight, so you two fuckers best not get up to any dirty business!" Noel warned, pointing at me and Liam, earning a laugh from the others which made my cheeks burn bright red.
"Fuck off dick 'ead." Liam spat flipping him off as he walked out the door.
Once Charlie, Noel and Ally were out of the room, me and Liam sat in silence for a minute.
"Um Lu?" Liam said quietly, scratching the back of his neck, fidgeting nervously.
"Yes Liam?" I replied, mentally preparing myself for what was to come next:
A big fat fucking rejection.
"About what you said earlier.."
Oh god, here it comes.
"... I-I have something to tell you too.." he continued.
Fucking spit it out man! I get it, you think i'm a complete and utter freak for admitting that throughout our whole 15 year old friendship, I've had feelings for you!
"W-Well, basically.."
FUCKING SAY IT ALREADY, I CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE.
"... I have feelings for you too..." He said quietly, watching my face carefully, trying to figure out how i was feeling.
