Chapter 6

*2 weeks later*

Jo's POV

It's been 2 weeks. I haven't talked to him since that day...

The worst part though is that he hasn't even tried to talk to me about it. I don't have a clue why but I'm just going with it.

It's been really hard because we've been best friends for the longest time and now we pretend like we don't even know each other.

I stalked his Instagram the other day and him and Bailey are still dating and they have about a million pictures of them kissing and them cuddling and just selfies in general and it makes me want to puke. I did puke once... I was sick but still...

I told my mom about the whole situation and she's been really supportive about it. She even asked me if I wanted to start online school. I said no, I don't know why but every morning before school she asks if I'm up for going that day. So far I've gone for like 4 days. I just can't stand to see him when we're not even on speaking terms.

It's Friday today... yes the night we normally watch movies. I just woke up and it's 11:34. Yes I'm skipping today.

All of a sudden I get a text from someone unexpected.

Bailey.

Bailey- Hey girl! I just wanted to ask if you wanted to come to the movies to watch The Perge with me and Hayes tonight. It'll be fun!!!

Is she fucking with me??

She must be.

Maybe she meant to send it to someone else.

You know what? Fuck it I'm going.

Jo- Sure why not..

Bailey- Oh wow I didn't expect you to say yes

Jo- Why? You don't want me to go do you??

Bailey- No I don't. Hayes made me ask you...

What??

I'm officially fucking pissed right now.

You can't not talk to someone for 2 fucking weeks and then all of a sudden get your girlfriend to ask them to go to the fucking movies with you AND your girlfriend that you know they hate.

I decide to call him.

Hayes- Jo??

Jo- What the actual fuck Hayes...

Hayes- Jo I'm sorry. I just wanted to see you so I got bailey to ask you if you wanted to come.

Jo- You think thats what I'm mad about? Hayes you haven't talked to me in 2 weeks.

Hayes- Oh...

Jo- Yeah.. Oh.

Hayes- I thought you hated me I'm really honestly sorry I don't know what my problem is I'm a dick and I know it...

Jo- Yeah you are.

Hayes- Do you accept my apology?? I really miss my best friend.

Jo- Fine... but you have to promise that we hang out at your house tomorrow and do OUR Friday movie night.. Just on Saturday.

Hayes- *giggles* Ok I promise...

I hang up.

Tears come to the corners of my eyes.

I don't know what to think.

Do I have my best friend back? I still need to discuss a shit ton of stuff with him.
