Natsu POV
Natsu woke up that morning thoughts consumed him. The need to fly to be free of the things around him burned through his Cain's when he heard his father Igneel calling for him. Natsu wanted to ignore him act like he didn't hear his name being called but it was too late his father was approaching quickly almost like he was on a mission to stop his rebellious sons. "Natsu I know you hear me calling you. Where are you off to this time?" His father asked as smoked rolled out of his mouth almost looking angry but the young prince knew his father and it wasn't anger, it was fear. "You know where I'm heading dad I'm off to see and the others." Natsu knew fully well that seeing his best frenemy was asking for trouble seeing as his friend an ice nymph named Gray and his girlfriend a mermaid fairy named Juvia was extremely dangerous because they were apart of the light court while he and his dad were still part of the dark court. They were trying to leave it, really but the light court's queen died centuries ago and their new queen hasn't taken the throne as of yet so they were at a standstill. His fathered softly glared at him knowing full well that his son hated the activities of the dark court's hijinks. They simply never fit in in the high dark court like their predecessors did back in the day. But meeting with those of the high light court was dangerous it could ruin their chances of joining the Seelie court. But Natsu couldn't be grounded he lived to fly free and his father knew this as he gave an exasperated sigh through his nose. "Just don't let others see you while your with them they may try and attack you thinking that you're attacking them." His father said as he waved him off to be with his friends. As Natsu flew off with a smile on his father he went as fast as he could manage to make his way to the lakeside they were supposed to meet. As he flew he saw the sun was sweating fearing he was late to meet Gray and Juvia he pumped his wings harder trying to put the rising sun. When he arrived he shouted for his friends thinking they would try and hide to scare him but when he sniffed the air he caught no scent of them. The sung kept rising as he waited and waited till suddenly a small snowflake appears out of nowhere floating down onto his palm. "Hey, flame brain" came the voice that grated him and pumped him up at the same time his best frenemy Gray" Long time no see unfortunately security is being increased due to the reason of people seeing a dragon flying around the area. Sorry man gotta find a new spot we'll be in touch as soon as we figure this out. Sorry man and see ya soon" as the snowflake melted Natsu got up in a huff and spread his wings and took off mumbling things about how this ruins all his plans. He tried to be discreet but come on, he's a dragon for crying out loud. They weren't exactly known for stealth. When he saw a small clearing in the middle of the forest he decided to land to let out his frustrations with not being able to see his two closest friends. He sat down and roared as harshly and as loudly as he could letting the fire he released send smoke through the air. Though he was careful not to let anything loving burn for his actions. 'It wasn't fair!' He thought' why can't he just be friends with who he wanted to be? Why was it so bad for him? He has never hurt anybody he wasn't a bad dragon but just because his ancestors had chosen the dark fae he was forced to stay there with them. All they wanted was to hurt and destroy anything they could. While yes he was basically made of fire and almost everything around him suffered for that when he was angry but he wouldn't hurt a fly if he could help it, unless that fly someone he held dear then that fly would suffer just as much as his dear one had.' He was frustrated he wanted nothing more than to just be free Rees of all those stupid rules. They were pointless and to him meaningless as stood he looked at the trees on the edge of the meadow admiring how they moved with the wind. It reminded him of how it was to fly over them what it was like to soar through the clouds and watch the stars dazzle and twinkle in a race through the night sky when he was pulled from his thoughts when the wind brought a scent that acidic to his nose smelling of fear. He searched for the location of it when he came across a blond fairy. 'Is she here to fight? If so I won't go done so easily' as Natsu got into position to defend himself he watched her closely taking in every detail of her he wings a translucent pink that sparkled he big brown doe-like eyes he dress flowy like the willow trees leaves the dress itself a dark green that could rival any trees leaves he feet bare as was common for all fairies. But to him by surprise was two things, one being she had no weapon which meant she wasn't a combat fairy and two she just stared at him. Not moving an inch heck not even a centimeter when he was about to launch at her out of fear of being attacked if she was just a decoy to lower his hairs he heard his fathers roar to the south.' Damn already? Might as well go before whoever sent her shows up. I'd rather start a war with my friends' he gave one final look to her be taking off to his father with thoughts running along the lines of who she was and why did it seem she was so lonely. The thoughts of her made his head and heart hurt when he thought of eyes.' I'm gonna have to ask Gray about her when I see that freezer burn again.' With those thoughts tucked away he arrived home to his cave of the dark court to see his father already laying down with his mate and Natsu littlest sister Wendy. Natsu went over to his ledge and lowered his head over folded arms as he laid himself down for a good nights sleep. Thoughts of the fairy haunting his thoughts and plaguing his dreams.
