Don't leave me behind (New Version)

Toni's perspective:
My last period was finally over and I got out of the classroom teasing Sweetpea and laughing at some silly joke Fangs told about him.

"Yeah yeah, whatever", he said all bothered but I could see how hard he was trying not to laugh.

We headed to the main hall to leave the school, but before we could finish getting down the stairs, we say Jughead about to leave school.

"Jughead!" Sweetpea shouted from the stairs, making Jughead stop with a 'busted' face.

"Please guys, I have plans with Betty...we were going to th-" he tried his best to come up with his best excuse but was cut off by Sweets right away.

"Jones, you're the worst liar I've ever met. Always using Betty as an excuse to get away with things" Fangs said, shaking his head.

"Ugh, fine whatever", Jughead huffed, waiting for us to get to him.

"C'mon, at least you're only paying for us and not for all the Serpents" Sweetpea teased him playfully pushing him.

Jughead opened the door for us all to step out, but before we could all leave, a feminine voice filled the main corridor.

"Not so fast, Southside scum. I don't think you got this straight the first time we unfortunately met, so I'm going to say it one last time" the redhead stated. I could recognize her from miles away, she was the same girl that gave us a warm welcome when we first got in the school that morning.

"You better stay away and mind your own business, because I've been here for a long time now, and as you've for sure already heard, I'm the queen bee and nobody crosses me, understood?" she finalized her statement glaring at me.

You've got to be fucking kidding me, I thought to myself.

"Cheryl for god's sake" Jug huffed.

"Listen up now, don't you think I've lead with people like you before?- the truth is that I hadn't- I don't care if you're the one who's 'in charge' here. This is a great opportunity that me and my friends are having and you have no idea of what we went through in Southside High. We didn't choose to come here but honestly we're grateful for it, so we'll mind our own business, but I suggest you do the same, princess" I finished and got closer to the speechless girl. "I'm almost sure that you're used to people doing whatever you want and whatever you say, but we're not those people. You really should stop bothering me and my friends, Cheryl." I finalized and I could see her trying to come up with some argument but ending up in failure again and again.

I turned around and got on my bike, looking at the three that were still shocked with what I just had said to the redhead girl.

"You comin?", I asked, starting the engine.

At this point Cheryl had already headed back inside and I lost track of her quickly.

"Damn Topaz, that was wild." Sweetpea laughed looking at me.

"She deserved it tough" Jughead added, hopping on his motorcycle too.

I couldn't answer, I felt like I was frozen and couldn't talk. That was off, I thought to myself.

We made it peacefully to the Whyte Wyrm and when we got in I got behind the bar to start working.

"Yeah, and put two slices of lemon this time", TallBoy said placing seven bucks on the counter.

"Alrighty", I said turning around and preparing his drink.

Once I was done with everyone's orders I laid back and felt my phone buzzing in my pocket.

Unknown: Hey, hope you're integrating well in school. (Jughead gave me your number)

Me: Thanks...and who is this actually?

Unknown: Oh yeah, sorry, it's Archie, I'm the guy who was with Veronica, the girl who gave you the schedules and stuff.

Me: Oh yeah! Thanks I appreciate it a lot :)

Archie: No problem ;)

I put my phone back in my pocket and smiled, getting knocked out of my thoughts by Sweetpea teasing me, per usual.

"Topazzz, was that Pricess Diane?", he said loudly, leaning over the pool table to make his move.

"Oh, are you jelous Sweets?", I teased him back, getting out from behind the bar and joining them.

"Oh you wish!", he shouted smiling.

"Well...now that my shift is over I can beat your ass, what do you think?", I challenged him, hearing a loud voice coming from the back of the bar and turning around to see who it was.

"I bet 20 bucks on Tiny" Fangs made his bet, leaning against the wall and drinking his beer.

"Oh, this is about to get interesting", I took the bet and started playing with Sweetpea.

"Let's do this then", he replied.

After 25 minutes we finished the game and, surprisingly for me because I hadn't played in quite some time, I won.

"Shame on you Pea" Jughead said, still leaning against the wall.

"Why? Because he lost against a girl?" I asked pretending I was pissed, getting close to him.

"Oh no Miss feminist, not at all! Only because I know you haven't played in weeks", he jokingly put his hands in the air in defense.

At this point Jughead went to hang out with Fangs and some other Serpents near the bar.

I went to the back of the bar and took my phone out of my pocket.
