Her gaze was full of absence and her idea of love was implacable. A flare of light shined through her brown, grown eyes, skimming the pages of a loosely attached book in her hands, titled Pale Fire.  A poetically diverse book sullenly explaining the ideas of life and love after death. Her hands skimmed through the pages to find the answers. What was love like?

Alone in her room, Caterina shielded herself under her cream colored blanket, away from the rest of the world. It was half past four, meaning her parents were still out attending their work, leaving the curious girl to wander on her own.

Caterina was like a fire within. Her shimmery blonde hair, a shade that was cooler than ash, made a statement by falling gracefully upon her preppy straightening shoulders. She had full lips, just like her mother, and smelled delicately like flowers growing in a garden. Her eyebrows arched into an even line, topping her long lashes that fluttered when she spoke. Her waist, slender but  showing itself off,  topped her long legs.  Her beauty was seemed as if someone carved her themselves, reminiscing the ideas of perfection. The girl's smile is what summoned the attention of most, though. Her smile indicated her passion for pure bliss, her eyes crinkling as she did so.

Her smile was the main reason why Draco Malfoy was so drawn to her at first sight. She made him believe in the possibility of perfection, without ever knowing she did so. No matter the circumstances, the boy could never stay away from her. If that meant ignorantly pretending to hate her in front of a group of people, he would do so, just so he could get the uttermost opportunity to speak to her. He wanted her all to himself. Knowing he could never achieve these 'wants' it made him more of an anarchic rebel.

As for the blonde haired girl, she knew exactly what type of person Draco Malfoy was. A sadistic boy, born into the hands of the wrong people. This though, she could not keep away. Draco was like a drug that Caterina couldn't contain herself from taking, knowing it's bad for her and knowing the harm it could do.

Caterina scanned the pages of the book on her own, flipping the pages vigorously every now and then. A knock at her bedroom door startled her, causing the book to flip and lose its place.

She tip-toed towards the door, trying not to get her feet dirty from the floor below her. She grabbed her golden door handle and turned it to see none other than her house elf,  Amarilium. "Sorry, Ms... Your laundry is finished, would you like me to bring it in?"

The girl's kind heart never went unnoticed every time she interacted with her house elf. She felt pity for the creature, knowing she wasn't treating it badly, but knowing how it devoted it's entire life to the Arcabilia family, serving and helping ever since Caterina's dad was a little boy. "Oh, don't worry about that Amari. I'll take them."

She grabbed her clothes from Amarilium, who bowed and continued it's way down the hall to mop the upstair floors.  As she folded away her clothes, a noise interrupted her coming from outside her half opened window.
