( THE BOY IN THE BUBBLE )
ACT I, CHAPTER FOUR:
THE LOSERS

"give me back my toast, twerp!" (y/n) shouts as she watches ben snatch her food.

"(y/n) (l/n), apologize to your brother right now!" the kid's mother scolded.

"he took my bread, ma!" the (s/c) pigmented girl couldn't help but whine.

as her eyes locked on her two year younger brother, he stuck his tongue out at her.

"ben, give your sister her bread back." the kid's father cuts in, glaring at the two bickering children.

"nevermind now, he put his aids covered hands all over it."

"excuse me?" their mother shouts, a few veins showing in her neck as she stares at her daughter.

"nothing, sorry."

"you two are teenagers, you need to start acting like it. you know what? i'm locking you guys out of the house for the day."

"what-"

their mother nods, "no objections. you two are going to spend the entire day together and are not allowed to come back any earlier than six."

"mama, today was supposed to be my relax day!" (y/n) once again whines, not upset that she has to spend the day with ben, but upset that she has to spend the day with ben outside.

"you've had a whole summer break for your 'relax day' get dressed and get out."

the (e/c) eyed girl glances at her brother who's shoving the toast he stole into his mouth, before groaning and going to her room.

in the next twenty minutes, she's dressed and running down the stairs.

"come along then, benny!" (y/n) shouts as she exits the front door and mounts on her bike that the boys had thankfully retrieved for her.

seconds after, her brother is trailing behind her, the both of them deciding on riding to the barrens.

when they arrive, they see two other boys.

ben's face lights up at the sight of his friends, but (y/n) groans, not wanting to be around hormonal fifteen year old boys all day.

"hey, look! it's haystack!" the boy with huge glasses and dark hair shouts.

"the hell did you just call hi—"
