( THE BOY IN THE BUBBLE )
ACT III, CHAPTER ONE:
HOMECOMING

(y/n) sighs to herself as she climbs back into her window, not bothering to shut it as her room usually got warm during the night.

after showering and finishing her homework, the teenage girl hops into bed, sleep overcoming her within seconds.

the past few weeks have been tiring and hectic, between school and trying to find patrick.

a strong gust of wind causes the girl to stir beneath the covers, her eyebrows knitting together though her eyes remain closed. she becomes aware of a heavy weight pressing on her chest and slowly cracks open one of her (e/c) eyes.

the sight in front of her is enough to make her nearly pee herself.

"oh my god!" she exclaims, lifting her body up and wrapping the long-limbed boy into a hug, "patrick, where have you been? we've been so worried i—"

the blank expression on the boy's face causes her breath to hitch in her throat.

"we've been waiting for this moment." he sneers down at her, and it now dawns on her that he's got her held down, his legs straddling her.

"what are you talking about?" she questions, lips trembling slightly.

when he doesn't answer, she makes a move to push him off but he stops her, his right hand gripping both of hers above her head.

(y/n) grunts uncomfortably, but patrick doesn't allow her to escape his grasp.

with one last glance at the girl, he reaches over and grabs a pillow, not hesitating to cover her face with and press down. hard.

her screams and pleads are muffled by the fabric, and she can't help but think that this is the end.

dots of black begin to cover her vision, and she gives up trying to fight. eventually, patrick releases her.

she's on the verge of losing conscious, but she's got her eyes opened enough to see the lanky boy morph into something else.

a clown.

it stands up off of her and with one last menacing grin, it's gone.
