*slides in on two roombas* sorry that I have been neglecting this story for so long. I've been planning and getting lore ;)))
Without further ado, enjoy this short chapter!

Is that...child laughter?

Mellsey's eyes popped open.Wait... eyes? Plural? Her hands immediately met with her face as she felt around her head. It's whole. Two ears, two eyes...

Looking down she noticed she was still her same tawny color, just...looked different. She stood. A lot lighter, as a matter of fact.

A neat purple bow was tied around her neck. She smiled. She likes the color purple.

Glancing at the analog clock on the wall, it read 6:48. Whether it was morning or night, Mellsey didn't know. This room was dark and had no windows.

A teddy bear of an animatronic poked it's head through the cracked open door, "Mel? Are you finally awake?"

  "Freddy?"

"Sure am," The brown bear chuckled, "They gave us all a complete redesign, including yourself. Come out, the children have left and we still have some time until the guard comes."

The tawny cat stood and shifted to walk. Much easier. It reached the door and opened it. Freddy looked...softer. He looked as if he was one of the stuffies. Looking past him, Mel saw the others. Bonnie, Chica, Foxy-- they all look similar to the stuffies that Mary was by.

  Wait a second.

  "Where's Mary?"

Bonnie, surprised about Mel's entrance, quickly answered, "In the kitchen." Phew.

While the small animatronic walked off, Freddy turned to Bonnie, "Even if she wasn't scrapped, it's a shame Mary's going to stay in the kitchen."

"It sure will give the workers a fright!" Foxy exclaimed with a hearty laugh. The others chuckled at this comment from the pirate fox.

Chica leaned on a table and sighed, "With the redesigns, doesn't it make you feel more...human like?"

Freddy raised an eyebrow, "What do you mean by that?"

"I mean, these suits make, I don't know about y'all, but me more human. Y'all know what happened before...nevermind. But you know what I'm talking about," Chica explained.

Bonnie piped up, "Now that I think about it, I do feel a little more alive.

"We should ignore it for now," Freddy authorized, "We have jobs to do and children to entertain."

"You're right," The pirate fox agreed, "We do." Foxy walked back to his cove. It wasn't too roomy but it was nice enough. He loved being on his own stage and telling stories to children. Just like old times.

Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Mel was chatting with the Marionette.

"So, wait, let me get this straight, you won't be able to perform but you'll be in the kitchen?" Mellsey chuckled, leaning on Mary's box with amusement.

Marionette snickered, "Guess it's for security."
