It was once stated in the Old Testament of Cosimia that: All mutants are to be treated like trash. This stuck and ever since then we have been outcast by our friends and sometimes even family. Why do they hate us? The answer's simple really, they fear us. Who would not fear something that's more powerful than anything they can imagine.
People began tuning into Espers during the late 4000s. When a deadly plague called the plague of Ra emerged. This epidemic turned people into monsters called Espers that yearned to kill people. As soon as someone was infected they began contracting signs that they had been infected such as rotting flesh and bloody coughs. Thousands of infected were burned at the stakes and shot. However, some people in America began evolving. They're bodies began developing marks on them that was a glowing blue eye. The mark of Ra some people grew to call it. At first the people with the mark of Ra on them were prized and congratulated. However, as soon as people noticed they were immune peoples jealousy began getting the better of them. So they were banned from major events and looked down upon. Fast forward 300 years and these people develop new physical traits such as crimson hair and black eyes. Now go farther ahead to 200 years more and these people develop powers. Powers that some people fear will destroy the world and powers some prize. The plague of Ra began in Egypt during the 4000s and spread to the rest of Africa. Soon it spread to the whole world. The death count was 5,000,000,000 for humans, while the death count for mutants was 0. When the plague finally was eradicated the humans held tons of parties and celebrations. Some of these celebrations included killing mutants and mutant towns. Among these included Kertj nicknamed Atlantis the underwater city, Bostinia the city of gold, and Hiraeth the city of powers and the cloaks. For years the mutants had lived in harmony with each other, until most of them were killed off and shipped to new lands where all they did was work. Some committed suicide while others prayed for an uprising to set them free. But until now no one has even talked about one.
